another gift from my friend, a stray growler of the filling station which is supposed to be a rare brew from these people
poured out great with just a really strange head on it. it sort of looked like whipped cream because it just stayed on top of the beer as i drank it down the pint glass. weird but fun! :-)
crazy aroma. spent some time in belgium recently and this tasted like a witbier or hoegaarden style beer but with a serious hop kick to it. it had that sweet banana and clove and spice aroma but there was also some citrus hops and juice in there too. i am really, really enjoying this
the only thing i would mark this down for slightly is the mouthfeel. for some reason i believe its undercarbonated and more bubbles would have really done wonders for this beer. but let's face it out of a growler you cannot be guaranteed to have the same amount out of a tap :-)
if i ever see this again i am definitely getting it

A. It is quite bubbly. It has a deep bronze color, but is basically clear as there is a slight haziness to it. It has a big foamy head and leaves a good deal of lacing.
S. It has a lagery scent.
T/M. There's a lovely banana bread taste at first. It is malty with a very, very mild weed-like hop scent. It is very smooth.
O. It has a saison feel to it, but it's a Belgian for sure. Nice and smooth.

A: The beer is very cloudy brownish yellow in color and resembles unfiltered apple cider. It poured with a quarter-finger high beige head that consistently left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface.
S: There are light aromas of wheat and lemongrass in the nose.
T: The taste is quite complex and has flavors of wheat, lemongrass and spices.
M: It feels a bit shy of medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate to high amount of carbonation. There are hints of chewiness due to its unfiltered nature.
O: The beer is quite complex and is an interesting take on the style.
