This one pours a light bodied dark amber in color with a one finger, very soapy and creamy off white head. It looks like the other Sixpoints, built for a can. The nose is slightly bitter with a fruity hop character with a good amount of amber malt to balance it out. The flavors are weird. It's dry and bitter, with plenty of amber malt and slight spice. The Citra hops certainly don't stand out and neither does the pumpkin. It's more of a hoppy amber with light spicing. It drinks light in body and an off dry. The bitterness is a detractor. Overall this was a strange beer and I wouldn't say that it worked. If they would've called this a hoppy amber it would've graded higher, but marginally so. This beer just needed more balance.

On-tap 4/26/2013 at Track 84 in Warwick, RI, served in a tulip glass.

A: The beer is a light brown color, with a thin off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains caramelized malts, pumpkin, some spice and some hops.

T: The taste starts out with a decent hops bitterness for the style. Then a thin malt character comes in along with some background flavors of spice and pumpkin. However, there is not much balance. The after-taste is slightly bitter.

M: Crisp and a little smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is dry and slightly sticky.

O: A little tasty, goes down ok, not too filling, mild kick, decent representation of style, it’s certainly not one of the better beers I’ve had in the style.
