Picked up a growler of this at the Whole Foods Bowery Beer Room in NYC.
A - This beer pours a golden amber color. It has a little more than a finger of white head resting on top. The head has good retention, and it leaves a nice sheet of lace behind on the glass.
S - The nose has a nice bit of maltiness and a good hop presence. There are also some aromas of caramel, toffee, fruit and some citrus.
T - The taste follows the nose pretty well. It starts off with marly sweetness, and then a nice big piney citrus hop flavor comes through. There are also some slight caramel, fruit, toffee, and citrus flavors that come through. The finish leaves some lingering citrus and hop bitterness behind on the palate.
M - This has a medium body and good carbonation. It goes down easy and has a nice smooth feel to it. There is some nice caramel sweetness in the background, and a nice amount of citrusy hop bitterness that lingers on the tongue.
O - This has good drinkability. It has awesome flavor and is hard to put down, even with the high ABV. Overall, i think this is a really good beer, and a good representation of the style. I really enjoyed this beer, and I recommend checking it out. There is a nice citrus flavor and a good hop presence. I would buy it again.

Light copper with a small amount of head that had little retention but left some lacing. Combination of floral and sweet in the nose. Light malty profile with some hop bitterness on the finish. The hoppyness is present for sure, but not enough for a DIPA. There is a faint alcohol twang at the very end of this offering.

Sorry, I use to collect wine for years in the 80's...but now I am into I.P.A.s & D.I.P.A.s. I don't have a great nose...but like the judge said about pornography..."I can't describe it but I know it is when I see it"...Well, I know a good D.I.P.A. when I taste it, and this is one of 'em! High alcohol, but you really can't taste it. Hoppy, but not too bitter. Overall, just a GREAT Double...enjoy!

On-tap 11/19/2011 at Track 84 in Warwick, RI, served in a tulip glass.
A: The beer is a deep gold color, with a short dense white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains fruity citrus, grassy hops and caramelized malts.
T: The taste starts out with a strong burst of piney hops bitterness. Then some fruity sweetness and caramel sweetness comes in. There’s also a touch of alcohol sting. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and creates a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet.
M: Crisp and a little smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: A little tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, strong kick, good representation of style, there are better options for a 2IPA but it’s still a decent beer.

Gemini has a dull-golden colored body with a slight haze to it. The off-white head is frothy and soapy looking, and a good amount of lacing stays behind.
Lots of hops in the nose, with citrus and a good bit of pine. Only a hint of lightly sweet malt comes through.
The hops come through right away, bringing a nice, resinous pine flavor, and a variety of citrus. Lots of orange and some nice grapefruit flavors. A little bit of a grassy flavor comes through also. With the hops comes a moderate amount of bitterness. The malt base is exactly how I like it in my IPAs and IIPAs: understated and pale. Lightly sweet with mostly bready flavors. Just enough of a backbone. There isn't really any booze to this one, and goes down easy for a IIPA.
The body is a little bit thinner than I would think, with pretty creamy carbonation.
Sixpoint is a well-made IIPA with a nice malt character to it. I'm pretty shocked that the ABV is over 10%, because this one is smooth and easy-drinking with almost no trace of warmth or alcohol in it.
