This is the only beer-kit shop in Airdrie. They mainly specialise in Baron's home kits, which are non-brew kits. I bought their Pale Ale kit, and it was quite tasty; the employee even suggested I should add some oak chips to the Pale Ale if I wanted to make it an authentically true India Pale Ale. The owner of Home Vintner apparently has discovered that the true IPAs had some oak characteristics, due to being transported in oak casks to India. Unfortunately, I did not try it. The pale ale was still very flavoursome, reminding me of Australia's Coopers Sparkling Ale. The staff were helpful enough, though more knowledgeable about wine than beer. They did not have any real-brew kits, only the Baron's non-brew kits. Whilst this allows less inovation and creation, the consistency of the beer is very high. I would buy another.
