My wife loved the fruitiness of Kona's blond ale and also likes Mexican beers so I was glad to find this Cucapa that would combine these two - and it was a good choice in my opinion.
Looks very nice gold with an amber hue and smells quite fruity, perhaps melon is what I got. The taste carries it on in a blonde ale manner, that is it doesn't enhance it but keeps the taste subtle, perhaps in the end it makes it rather clear. I was quite satisfied with it, however my wife felt that it was lacking a punch somewhat, that it could have been fruitier just like Kona.
Still, it is quite a good quality craft beer from Mexico with maybe enough hoppiness to it to make it taste interesting and refreshing.

Soft, soft, soft, really soft.
This soft looking blonde has a flowery soft aroma that gets picked-up on the palate as mostly malty sweet... with just enough citric flavors to give some sassy to the soft. But, the mouth and aftertaste is unusually smooth and light... so let's call it... really, really soft.
Clasica is reviewed in the "1001 Beers To Drink Before You Die" and deserves to be listed. Its success in this century shows how Mexican craft-brewers can compete with their country's brewing oligopoly based, not on brawn, but brains and appealing to our better senses.

Bottle dated 17JUL16.
Brassy golden tone, flurry of carbonation and a thin layer of foam that recedes to a broken skim.
Spotty lace, some random arcs around the edges of the glass.
Aroma is bland, vaguely herbal with sweet oxidized malt.
Taste is bready with a mild earthiness and vague bitterness in the aftertaste.
Light to medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Overall ok, would have liked to try a fresher bottle.

Deep golden color with a thin head with short retention, but leaving good laces.
Light aroma with notes of bread malt, honey and a subtle citrusy.
Citrusy flavor with notes of fresh oranges, grass, some tea bags, drops of lime and "mango biche". Dry and bitter aftertaste with a nice duration.
Light towards medium body with appropriate carbonation.
Golden Ale very well executed, I cannot complain about anything here. Refreshing and assertive, also balanced but still with a decent amount of insisting hops.

One of three bottles tracked down at a tiny wine market in Cabo San Lucas. A cloudy light peach color with two fingers of whitish foamy head. Aroma is sweet, honeyed cookie-like malts and light perfumed notes that recall vanilla custard and dried tropical fruit leather. A slight grainy astringency is apparent. Palate is similar, low-key sweet malts and fruit: Mellow citrus marmalade, pear, vanilla creme, hay, with a wisp of pine in the dry finish. Medium bodied and quite fizzy. Less sweet and lighter than this brewery's pale ale, as one would expect, less toffee and spice but features some of the same elements. I find this to be quite complex and tasty, with more hop character than many other blondes and handily exceeding my expectations. Retains a pleasing ale character. Refreshing option for a summer session.

A friend brought this home from Mexico and shared it. From notes.
A - Poured golden and bright with a two finger fluffy white head. Good lace and a half finger of retention.
S - Grassy, fruit, grain, peach. Fruit punch. Nice.
T - Peach, grass, grain, sweet fruit.
M - Light body, medium bitterness, medium carbonation.
O/D - Decent stuff. Flavourful, but maybe a bit artificial with the fruit punch notes. Bitterness seemed a bit high for the style too. Drinkable, but nothing too awe inspiring.
