Berbiglia's is a big chain in KC.

Like many stores here they have a wine focus. However, here on the Northeast side they pass as one of the better beer outlets.

Good things- They keep almost all of their beer in a huge walk in cooler with glass door access. About 15 doors are beer and half of those are craft, import or regional beers of interest. Regionals include Boulevard, New Belgium, Capital and others. Plus other Colorado and California brews.

They also offer Belgian styles such as Ommegang and Hennepin plus major Belgians. These are in the two door singles section- which also holds a nice variety of British and German brews, especially wheat.

The big plus for me is they do not push a lot of warm and dusty beer. They keep most things in the cooler.

The help is friendly but not overly knowledgeable on beers.

Relative to this area, the selection is very good. Skip the Hy-Vee and Price Chopper Supermarket beer sections and head here.
You'll have to drive some distance to get to Gomers if you want better beer.
