One of those beers that is always around at family gatherings but rarely drank, and even then never contemplated. It pours an extremely pale sickly yellow color, with a decent level of lasting surface coverage at least. Some wispy lace around the edges of the glass, and rapidly rising trails of champagne carbonation visible.

Basic soggy grain aroma, minerally dishrag, nondescript to the point of nonexistence.

Taste is dull and flat, ghostly pilsner malt with hint of apple from the lager yeast in the aftertaste. Watery and overly gassy with co2. Finishes very clean, like nothing almost. An ubiquitous macro, just one of those things that blends into the landscape, like stale pretzels and dirty ashtrays. Unexciting and bland from all angles.

Pairs well with reruns of BBQ Pitmasters and United States of Bacon.

Pours a brilliant golden straw with a solid one inch eggy head that slowly dissipates, leaving sheets of holy lacing.

Lightly skunky, grainy sweet malt and a touch of floral hops form the initial aroma. A background of lager yeast esters are present, along with corn.

Flavor is less sweet, with a biscuity malt backbone and an underpinning of floral hops. There's a funky tang, not nearly as noticeable as in bud light, but it's there. Slightly metallic, as well. The finish is a touch dry

Body is light, with moderate carbonation.

Sweeter than I remember, fairly clean minus that tangy note.

From the 32 oz can into a tulip glass. Three fingers of head with a low retention rate on an almost clear golden colored body.
Smell is grain with a bit of last night's breath.
The taste is not offensive, but it is flavorless... except for the odd sweet finish. Actually, the sweetness starts in the middle and does not help.
Sticky texture with moderate carbonation and medium body.
Nothing to offer and tough to like. 29 oz down the drain.

Pours a beautiful crystal clear yellow.

The aroma is kinda lagery and corny.

Tastes of water corn and rice with a touch of skunk.

Mouthfeel is quite nice. It's smooth light and crisp.

For what it is I think it's a great easy drinking beach beer.

This was my first foray in quite sometime trying a mass-marketed beer - wow, how surprised I was to find it disappointing.

It was a punch-top Miller Lite with your average appearance out of the can. The smell was barely there and the stuff sloshed around in my mouth with so much carbonation, which I have really begun to accept i just don't like. The taste was very watered down - it was like drinking barley flavored water, and i gave it an overall rating at a two only because the appearance and smell to me was about as good as what I've been trying lately. Again, overall, it's something i'll only drink if there's nothing else to partake of and it's free.

Poured from a can into a pint glass.

Appearance: Clear yellow, with about 2 fingers of white head, little bit of lacing.

Smell: Sugar, alcohol, corn, rice, malts. Nothing really sticks out.

Mouthfeel/Taste: Smooth light bodied. Sweet corn and rice, with alcohol.

Overall: For a light lager it is not bad, but far from my first choice for beer.

ou can really taste the triple hops brewing in this beer. Aroma is propelled by lively CO2 and dampened by pillowy heads - especially nitrogen foam.resin, floral, citrus, dough, barnyard, leaves, alcohol, banana, rotten eggs, pale, clear, minimal head, white foam, light sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly sour, umami, light body, thin feel, fizzy, astringent,

depends on the occasion, ambiance, situation, etc... mowing the lawn- it's a darned fine beer... ordering it draught at the local squeeze bar where the girls are letting it all hang out for a bigger tip- it's a darned fine beer....bringing a couple cases of it home for numerous neighbors after your next door neighbor has just returned home after a 10 month stay away from home due to a divorce- yep, still a darned fine beer. lookin' for an easy evening in front of TV sports with some fine grub... yeah, it'll work. but sitting home sampling beers and pretending you're michael jackson critiquing world class brews from around the world- yeah, right. this was my dad's beer (RIP old man). when i took his keg/frig out of his apartment when he was locked up, and brought it home to my barracks at nellis afb, it had miller lite in it. we all went crazy with it. not because it was good beer, but because it was a STINKIN' KEG!!! and then we bought ANOTHER ONE!!!
well, tonight finds me cracking open a bottle of $100, 18 year old, single malt scotch (just wanted to see what all the fuss is about, ya know?) and after the first petite pour was down, i popped open a can of this glorious brew as a chaser for the next pour. plus, i need to get really buzzed before the girlfriend gets home for reasons i can explain later....
so, without further ado . . . .
A- typicaL, generic, american, commercial pi$$ color . . . .
S- typical, generic, american, commercial pi$$ smell (but still better than buttwiper)
T- typical generic, american, commercial pi$$ taste (but still WAY BETTER than buttwiper)
M- typical generic, american, commercial pi$$ taste (trust me, it was more difficult and annoting to cut n paste this than it would have been to simply write it)
O- come on. this stuff is WAY easier to session (if you really have to) than those other typical, generic, american, commercial pi$$ beers on tap at the local skank bar. WAY EASIER to continue drinking throughout the night although at such a low ABV you'll need to mix in a few whiskeys to get to your 'happy' place.
there's a place in costa mesa, ca, called the goat hill tavern. about 20 years ago it featured a $100 lunch special of Dom Perignon and hot dogs. i feel like that lunch special tonight.
so anyway . . . . . the miller lite is okay. the good whiskey made it pale, but it was a good side note.
thank god for belgium and germany.
update- forgot to mention the hilarious review (and call name) of LACQUEREDMOUSE earlier. dude, if i had thought of that name i would have been bummed to find out it was already taken. but it was also right on the mark....

This is one of those "punch-top" cans. It's a good marketing gimmick, not sure how useful it is unless you suck the can when you drink..

Smell is water, grain, corn, rice? Taste is like regular miller with the already lackluster taste zapped out. Seriously, the big tastes here are metallic water, carbonation, and a hint of grain and corn... in that order. Highly carbonated and extremely drinkable as long as you want a watery refresher, not a flavorful beer.

Best thing I can say about this is that it's inoffensive, drinkable, and has alcohol in it.

The best way to tackle a Miller Lite is to put it in the freezer until it's just about to freeze (don't actually let it freeze, though - nobody likes ice crystals in their beer). When it's a few degrees above freezing point, take it out of the freezer and try to drink it as fast as you can. Don't worry about brain freeze - the stinging in your head will only aid in distraction from the pain being unleashed upon your palate.

In all seriousness, it's hard to accurately rate something that's really this awful. It's a realm that's so far away from what we know as "beer" - and NOT in a good way (like as in Sam Adam's Utopias). Miller Lite is to beer what the Chicago Cubs are to baseball. Sure, there are people who pretend to like it, but most people don't actually enjoy it. And smarter people have move on to bigger and better things.

Miller Lite looks like a somewhat hydrated man's piss with even less foam. Smells like grains, metal, corn, and musk. Tastes like grains, metal, corn, musk. Unless you drink it ice cold - then it doesn't really taste like much at all (and that's the best thing you can hope for). Don't let this baby get too warm, or it'll be a long night. Mouth feel is like seltzer water and the drinkability is on par with lemonade.

I hate bashing for the sake of bashing, but there is really no reason to ever buy this beer.

Good Old ML. What a great thing, you can drink it all night and not get sick of it. Most bars ahve it on tap. If im in a beer mood (not often) i'll get Miller lite in a Pint glass, if at parties, ML in a can is good.

A - Looks like any other beer, nothin special. Golden in color.

S - Smell Is nothin original, but is very appitizing to the lips after the nose hits it.

T - Tastes completely delicious. Once it flows down the Troat, It stays with ya for a little while, but after a few seconds you just wanna put you lips on the can again to take another swig.

Obviously had this one many times and was surprised I hadn't reviewed it.

Single finger white head on a clear straw colored body. Musty and bitter pale malts with light sweet corn on the nose. Flavor is actually plain and not terrible. There is little flavor with grain and sweet corn but there is very little there. Light body and high carbonation. Flavorless really. These get worse as you drink more. Out if coors bud and miller, I still think coors makes te better adjunct lager.

One has to frown upon American culture when this is one of the BEST lagers the advertisers have to offer, and its still...

A - A pale yellow with a fair sized head with no lacing or retention.

S - Some moist grains make a presence and then there is a bit of .... of yea.... nothing.

T - Watery, follows the nose quite well for whatever it is worth. Finishes in a composition that I would argue contains no beer-components whatsoever.

M - Super light and very easy to drink. A bit of sweetness from the grain. Certainly far from good but bearable for heavy consumption.

O - It is a domestic lager that advertises on television. Sadly in American culture this dictates that the beer is truly poor and this brew is nothing more than a beer that I consume in the occasional drinking game.

you can put this in fancy bottles with vortex necks and give it away for free....you can put it in fancy aluminum bottles...

its still Miller Lite and its an insult to lagers...how they get away with selling it for so much is mindboggling

Miller Lite was much better 15+ years ago....then they reformulated it to maximize profits by using cheaper grains.

this costs more than Miller High Life....and High Life blows this stuff away.

It is however, not bad on tap...i will say that.

a marshy rotten smell on the first pull...no aftertaste. causes me to vomit after a session...i cant explain why...one of the only beers that do this to me so i stay away

A: Typical adjunct lager see through yellow.

S: Wet grain.

T: Pretty smooth and easy drinking. Very watery. No distinct flavors. Basic default "beer" flavor.

M: Nice easy drinking with nice carbonation. Crisp refreshing finish.

O: Pretty much made to get drunk with. Watered down to the point that it is like beer flavored liquid instead of beer. No odd taste like Bud though which helps it. I would take a Michelob Ultra if you want a light adjunct lager.

Tried from a can on board a United Airlines flight from Seattle to San Francisco.

Pours a lurid pale yellow, straddling the line between fluorescent and colorless. Head is a filmy, insubstantial ring of grey-white. Such a light body. So poor.

Nose lightly sweet, with corn syrup aromas dominant, but surprisingly, not much cooked corn veggie characters. Slight stale pee character to it, along with some almost hints of sweet pepper. No, it's not good, but it's neither actively offensive nor characterless.

Flavour is worse, however. Grainy corn husks, light pastry characters, bran mush and a lingering sweetness which cloys at the end. Feel gives the effect of seltzer water. Less filling? Gimme a break! Its gassy and bloating.

Yep, actively bad brew. Of the 3 options on the plane, this was the one I'd yet to review, and given it was free I thought it was worth doing. But even now I'm done I'm having second thoughts.

Poured into a pilsner glass.

Pours a clear straw light yellow, tons of bubbles rise. White head settles in less than thirty seconds. Patchy lacing and a lace minimal head remains. Thin ho-hum appearance with at least some lace and patchy head. Average looks.

Brew smells of faint malts and hops; corn and really nothing much else. Below average nose.

Brew is watery and thin; almost like a half and half - half water and half shitty beer. Carbonation is over the top, spiced with some minimal hops. Corn malts and minimal hops. Crisp and watery. Really nothing going on here.

Brew is too watery and lacks flavor to keep the interest. For those who think beer is just beer, it works.

Pours out a light straw color with a thin, wispy head that died in under thirty seconds. Thirty seconds more saw the surface foam island itself and the ring weaken. Couple of random bubbles stream upward from the bottom.

Very faint aroma. Dipping back down and in for the fourth time to try to pick up something. Meager crackery malt with a suggestion of hop extract.

Watery taste, like an adjunct lager with all-but-melted ice cubes in the glass. Light bitterness from the hop extract. Semi-dry and crispy with a cereal aftertaste. A little waxy. Some cooked rice.

Thin and bubbly. The bubbles rush in the pockets of the mouth and almost follow down the gullet. Makes for a bubby-feeling stomach. A little mouth-drying, but otherwise, drinks easily.

Rating overall to style, this is a standard fare light lager. Void of aroma, short on flavor, somewhat harsh in feel. A beer not to take seriously.

A: The beer is crystal clear light yellow in color and has a moderate amount of carbonation. It poured with a half finger high bright white head that quickly died down and left a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface.
S: There are light to moderately strong aromas of adjunct malts in the nose—corn and rice seem to stand out in particular.
T: The taste is very similar to the smell and also has some hints of grainy malts and a faint amount of bitterness.
M: It feels quite light-bodied and somewhat watery on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very easy to drink. There’s nothing special about the taste, but it’s not offensive and the mouthfeel isn’t as watery compared to other light lagers.

24oz can poured into a ping glass. Golden colored body with a fizzy tall head that disappeared fast.

S- Corn, wet straw, malts.

T- Out of its competitors like Coors Lite and Bud Lite, Miller Lite actually has the most flavor. Its weak, but at least it has a REAL flavor like I said. Plenty of corn and malts, and maybe a slight hint of a bready charecteristic.

M- Fizzy, high carbonation. Average for the style. Thin bodied with a dry finish.

Miller Lite has always been my go-to beer at a bar. If I feel like drinking cheap, this is it.

18 oz bottle poured into a pilsner glass at refrigerator temperature.

L - Pale straw-to-straw color with a 2-finger white fizzy head. Actually decent retention and pretty good lacing. Crystal clear with a moderate amount of bubbles. Looks excellent for a light lager.

S - Mostly bready malts and corn with a slight, slight hint of earthy hops. Not sure where those triple hops went, but I’m glad that there’s at least some hint of them. Better than most light adjunct lagers.

T - Seltzer water with hints of bready malt and corn. The hops are gone. The taste was tough to discern because of the zip from the carbonation (think seltzer water), and pretty disappointing after the aroma.

F - Light-bodied with too much carbonation, a crisp and tickling mouthfeel from all the carbonation, and the slightest hint of dryness in the finish. Refreshing.

O - As far as the big 3 American light lagers, this may be my favorite. It’s not tasteless like Coors Light and it doesn’t have as much adjunct flavor as Bud Light. That’s still not saying much, as this is a below average beer. However, if I had to choose between those 3, I’d probably pick this one.

I had some people over this past weekend and a couple of these remained in the fridge after everyone left. Pours a Light golden straw color with a decent head that slowly dissipates to a cap on top leaving lots of lace on the way down. Pilsner malt, and a light nondescript spiciness provides balance. There's not a whole lot going on in the aroma here. The taste is lightly bready with a crisp almost tart spiciness that does well to balance any malt that might show up. Thin body with a thin watery mouthfeel and an ample amount of carbonation. There's certainly nothing overly offensive here, but at the same time there's nothing exciting here either. This might make an ok lawnmower beer, but I can think of many with some flavor that I would pick over this.

A: Pours a crystal clear pale golden yellow in color with some light amounts of visible carbonation. The beer has a finger tall fizzy bright white head that quickly reduces to nothing but a very thin ring at the edges of the glass. Minimal lacing is observed.

S: Light to moderate aromas of musty grains, rice, and corn.

T: Light flavored, not a lot to the taste at all - there are hints of adjunct malts (grain and corn). Very faint bit of bitterness in the finish but it does not linger.

M: Light bodied with heavy amounts of carbonation. Thin and watery.

O: Easy to drink and sessionable but that is likely due to the fact that the smell and taste are just about absent (and the low ABV). I will likely be avoiding this one (even at the free conference bars) in the future.
