Notes:
"As the name implies, this is one knock-out of a beer. Brewed to be a light bodied, refreshing ale, Blonde Bombshell combines subtle malt and wheat flavors with a delicate Liberty hop aroma to create a sensational beer. Originally brewed as a seasonal, this beer was so popular it pushed its way into our regular line-up."

Review from BA Mag Aug 2007.
Once a summer seasonal, now a year-round beer, this American Blonde Ale style is part of a recent resurgence of the style, thought to be a good stepping stone style for the novice beer drinker.
Its brilliant bright golden color flaunts a crystal-clear clarity. Light doughy biscuity aroma, almost like fresh-baked shortbread. The head subsides to a thin lace pretty quickly. Some light floral hop flavor in the nose. Light and crisp, wet on the palate--a clean beer. Semi-husky malt flavor goes a bit bready. Hops drop just enough bitterness to balance, with a lingering herbal flavor to boot. This beer dries up pretty fast and leaves the mouth clean, for the most part.
While this beer may not be for the beer geek at all, it's a good choice to help convert the typical mass-produced lager drinker; or you could simply chalk this up as an American session ale. A heaping plate of nachos topped with chili and pepper jack cheese strikes us as the perfect pairing.

12 oz bottle into 10 Barrel tulip pint glass
A - Pours with a lot of bright white head. Good lacing. Decent head retention. Beer is a slightly dull but very clear gold.
S - Lots of pale malt character. Not very sweet, mostly grainy. Nothing offensive.
T - Same as above, but with a bit of malt sweetness.
M - Almost watery, but not bad. Refreshing.
O - Like most American Blonde Ale's, this beer is targeted at macrobrew drinkers. As such, it does a good job of hitting the target while still being decent to fans of Microbrew. Not offensive, but not really recommended unless this is your favorite style of beer. Depending on what else is available, I would consider bringing this to a party. It's drinkable.

had on tap. Pours a nice straw color with a small head.
Good aromas of creams, grains, and some bits of crackers. Not that much depth to it and somewhat simple.
Lighter bodied with a nice crisp feel and notes of creams and grains. Decently complete feel as well.
A solid beer. Nothing all too memorable, but nothing bad either.

Had on-tap @ Brewforia Beer Market Meridian ID. Served in a pint glass.
A: Clear straw/yellow, high carbonation, decent amount of brilliant white head and lace.
S: Almost lager-like, light fruitiness in the form of apple & pear, cracker, malt, grain & a touch of cereal, hint of banana.
T: Follows the nose, malt forward with a light twang of wheat, grains dominate with notes of banana, green apples and other faint fruits underneath...a touch of a skunk character as well but not distracting.
MF: Light, well carbonated, and wet.
O: Not something I could have a ton of but I could see it being a decent summer drinker.

12 oz. bottle while visiting Dad near Bend, 12.27.11.
Half finger white head, quick dissipation with a few streams of lazy small bubbles rising to surface over straw gold clear body. Sweet nose, grassy hops with what smells like significant light wheat infusion, clean nose. Very pilsener like taste despite the wheat, sweet malts with subtle peppery grassy hops. Mouthfeel is light, a bit thin, good effervescence. Certainly sessionable at this ABV, I was a bit surprised how much flavor this had. Good entry craft beer for non-hopheads.

Comes out of the tap a clear golden with a fine-bubbled white head. Crisp, malty aroma has an undertone of pear and apple. Malty and crisp flavor has a fruity undertone that is mainly pear with some apple. Fizzy, lively texture leaves behind a persistent tingle.

12oz bottle, leftover from a dinner party guest.
pours light straw yellow, minimal head, recedes to thin skim across head. what faint aroma i pick-up is a bit of malt, maybe hops if i stretch.
taste - blah. nothing even remotely newsworthy. not bad per se, but why bother. mouthfeel is think carbonation bordering on annoying.
glad it was a freebie. can my liver have 12oz of processing ability back?

As I paid "designer beer" price for this, I had higher expectations but found this relatively ordinary, along the lines of PBR.
Pours light pale yellow; minimal quickly disipating head.
No overt smell, but towards dry hops.
Taste was highly ordinary. Light floral hops, and perhaps a wheaty tone to the body. Slightly peppery. No creamyness nor sweetness.
Moughtfeel was light,no real before or after effects...
Overall, totally unmemorable. Will definitely pass it by next time.

New label on the bottle.
Yellow in color with complete see through...with white lace showing on the edge. carbon bubbles rising as expected...
smell malt smell rolling off pour.
Taste is slightly hoppy for a light blonde. It's alright.
decent amount of carbonization
This is a good beer.

Bought this beer with the hopes that like many other Oregon brewed beers, it would have an understated sophistication and body. Sorry to say I was a bit disappointed.
It's not that this is a bad beer, its just not memorable at all.
From the thin head that formed when poured to the thin, bodiless taste, this beer appeared a bit weak from the start.
Nice golden color topped by a thin head, weak body with a mouthfeel of dishwater.
Truly disappointed from this offering.

Strangely enough, out of all the great beers made in bend...This was voted best in town recently, I have to disagree.
Pours a very pale clearish golden yellow, very little head.
Smell is very little, slight malt a bit of lemon.
Taste is waterrd down malt, a little sweetness, sugary, a bit of lemon.
Mouthfeel is very light, nothing really, carb is low, its like water.
I can see the drink of this is high cause its easy to drink cause its very very light on all angles.
Overall, coors light taste the same as this almost, and is much cheaper.

Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy straw color with a modest heads that leaves a few dribs and drabs of lace
Smell: A little bit of grain and a little bit of lemon; about what would be expected for the style
Taste: Opens with a biscuity malt character that adds a hint of lemon shortbread by mid-palate; after the swallow the sweeter malt flavors continue to complement the hint of lemony hops into the finish
Mouthfeel: Light to medium body with moderately crisp carbonation
Drinkability: Very refreshing on a hot summer's day; I like the lemon shortbread character
Thanks, Docer, for the opportunity

One of my favorite brewers... and now I find this.. another new 6-pack to try. All the rest of their beers are very solid.
- Bright clear light yellow... straw... a nice saison-like fluffy white head... down to a thin layer and healthy foamy ring.
- Crisp clean flora hops and grain. Touch of sweetness... a bit of a light zing.
- Smooth sailing golden ale... very spot-on for the style.. creamy grain, fresh water.... light hops.. touch of floral and a zesty citrus character.
- Thin and very light bodied... a very light ale.
- Perfect for those hot summer days, and perfect for a session brew... the flavor is great, and I cant wait to crack many more.
