"Featuring the Organically grown pacific gem hops from New Zealand, this hop variety lends the beer hints of oak and a lingering berry like finish."
Served in a pint glass via the hand pump. The brew appears a clear copper color with a rich tan, creamy cap that cascades to the surface. It maitains a full wall of lacing effect on the glass.
The smell is minorly fruity with a solid backing of caramel malt. There is a bit of a mineral inclusion that breaks things up before the onset of herbal hops.
The taste is yeasty with an inclusion of toasty malt. The bitterness is modest and earthy with that previously described mineral character being ever-present and quite exaggerated from the bitterness.
This is a fairly crisp brew. It is medium to light bodied with a light level of carbonation. It is fairly easy drinking with some raw, earthy and mineral aspects that I didnt totally dig. It is a brew worth trying once but not something I would seek out.
