I stopped into North East on my way home to RI for Thanksgiving and was pleasantly surprised even though I had a pretty good idea of what to expect based on previous reviews below. The selection was comparative to other great beer stores and really impressive considering the small town where it's located. Everything said previously is accurate, but the one note I would add is about the wide array of vintages they had laying around. I am not sure if the store has trouble turning over merchandise due to its location or the vintages are put out intentionally (unlikely since the vintages were not highlighted, but rather discovered when I picked up a bottle and looked at it). A few things they had laying around was a 2010 Stone RIS, Stone 09.09.09, 2009 Ten Fidy, and a 2006 Abbaye De Saint Bon-Chien. All reasonably priced, without "vintage mark-ups." Overall a great place and will stop by again.
Edit: Upon 2nd visit, had significant interaction with the beer manager and staff and they were extremely helpful.

Really great local store to have around. Their craft beer selection is truly incredible for the location, Dayville/Killingly is a normal small northeast CT city, so you don't expect much until you actually walk through the doors. Even if they don't have it, they can probably get it for you. A very friendly staff that is always willng to help you out. Best of all, any beers in a pack can be pulled as singles and you are free to make your own six-packs at a 10% discount. This is my go-to store to pick up a new variety of beers to try. WIll always have my business while I am in the area.

This is my local GO-TO Store. They have some awesome staff that i've become friends with that actually have craft beer knowledge. Friendly workers, great prices, overall very clean store. Love it! Whenever I have a question about a certain kind of beer, whether it be style or brewery, they always have the answers. There's some places that when you walk in...you feel dirty and grimey immediately...you know the places that I'm talking about. Northeast Wine & and Spirits is very clean, bright and welcoming. Not only do they have a pretty good selection of beers, but their wine selection is wonderful as well. You should be able to find most anything that you're looking for there...provided we're in the distribution area. But, they will special order anything for you (if I can remember correctly) for no charge.

I can't say anything bad about this place. Excellent selection of beers, wine, and liquors. And if they don't have it, they will gladly special order it for you (no extra charge). It's nice that you can make your own six pack if you just want to try one bottle and you get 10% off. Sometimes you get the 10% off of all size bottles (12oz, 22oz, etc) and other times it's only for the 12oz ones...guess it just depends on the cashier. The big guys who usually work in the back (don't' know their names!) are very knowledgeable about the beer and are more than willing to help you.

I found this place through word of mouth of a friend in the area and now my new house is only 5 minutes away and it's my go to place.
The amount and quality of beer that they offer is amazing for the area. The prices are very competitive and I find they are usually a little cheaper than other stores in the area.
John, the V.P. and beer guy is very knowledgeable and keeps up to date with new beer and limited releases. The rest of the staff is semi knowledgeable, but a standard BA will have more info on the beers.
The Dayville store has moved a couple store fronts down from it's old location and it is now a lot larger and allows for a more organized layout of the beer section with no beers hidden behind others.
I can easily say this is the best beer store in Northeast Connecticut and blows the competition away!!!

Well being from maine this place has a way better selection then anything I can get there. Many many cantillons and also many other lambics. Saw some thomas hardy there. very great selections. wasn't too impressed with there 7.99 mix a six deal where you can pick from a selection of old beers they are trying to get rid of. This reminded me of tims little big store in old town but at least they only charged you like 2.50 a six pack there. Very impressed will need to stop on my way back through will pick up those thomas hardys i think.

Outstanding selection of beers. Good amount of bombers as well. I always take advantage of their make-your-own-6-pack, which is great since you can pick from any beer in the store, not just a certain few. I also believe that when you make your own sixer you get 10% of off the prices of each single. I go here frequently and always walk out with a 6pack of new beers to try as well as a few bombers. Also check out their newer store in Plainfield, CT. Exit 87 off of 395 in the Big Y plaza. More of the same good stuff there.

I found this place while on vacation by reading the Yankee Beer periodical I picked up in Boston Beer Works. I was going to a cottage right down the road. I had been looking for Thomas Hooker beers for years in package stores all across Southeast Conneticut and Southwest Rhode Island and this is the only place that I found them. I was able to take singles of items I wanted to try out of full six packs which is a good option when you are trying to taste a variety of beers that you can't normally purchase. I also saw prepackaged growlers from at least three different microbreweries. I agree that this is one of the beat beer stores I have ever visited.

Located right over the RI line (40 mins from providence) I have passed this place many times and never would have imagined the craft beer haven that it was inside. The selection was amazing, pretty much to the point that if its available in the area they had it. A very good selection of warm singles with the mix a six option available, and also a good selection of craft brews in the fridge. I had a brief conversation with the beer manager, and he was quite helpful (also pointed out I had one of the last Imperial Stout Troopers anywhere) Overall a great store right where I wouldn't expect to find one.

Right off 395 in CT, exit 93? Killingly/Danielson, in the supermarket plaza, hard to miss.
Beer aisle has lots of Belgians and special release big bottles, warm storage for many US micros. Coolers cover the gamut from US micros, more local fare, etc etc. Seems like if you're looking for it, there's a good chance NE will have it. Lots of odd/rare things to be had that you don't see very often anywhere else, which is cool to me.
Left with a couple bags and $40 lighter, I think I got off easy this time. I'll be back.
Not really on the way to much, but worth going out of the way for.
