Appearance: Dark brownish with a half finger of off white head.
Smell: Malty aroma, but that's about it, some sort of weird/off aroma at the end.
Taste: Bready malt with a hoppy aftertaste, kinda bleh.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodie and somewhat creamy.
Drinkability: I had high hopes going into this with the brewers involved but it didn't do anything for me and left me disappointed. Hopefully they will try something like this again, but come up with something very very different.

Pours a dark hazed brown color with nice cap of khaki head, good retention and lacing. Scent is of roasted nuts, citrus, light carmel and some earth. Taste really brings the muddled scent notes together... the roaste nuts and light carmel blend to give a great malty taste while the citrus and earthy hops combine to give a great bitter bite. Medium bodied, perfectly lightly carbonated. A true suprise of a beer, combines notes from a few favorite styles.

Deep caramel color, like a dark tea, with a slight head that dissipates quickly. Aromas are mild but have sour apple and caramel malt characteristics. Very light carbonation. Dark fruity flavor overrides the malt character. Hoppy bitter flavor in the front with a tangy, almost spicy middle that turns a bit nutty and finishes with a smooth, bitter, clean, dry ending. Very enjoyable.

A - Murky deep amber/ruby color with a one finger fluffy white head that has little retention and decent lacing.
S - Earthy, grassy hops up front with a touch of pine, then a solid caramel, dark fruity malt backbone.
T - The mostly caramel malts hit me first, with a touch dark fruits, then transitions over to a nice punch of bitter grassy and pine hops.
M - Medium body, delicate cask carbonation makes it smooth and creamy across the palate. Slight lingering bitterness in the aftertaste.
D - Glad I got to have this collaboration brew. Turned out to be a very well balanced drink with strong flavors.
