Pours copper with a slight head. Aroma is malty but with a wet cardboard feel. Flavor is biscuity abd malty with a flowery hop and a piny flatish bitterness. The mouthfeel is runny. Not awful, but by being unmemorable, it represents a rare miss for sly fox.

This one arrived at my table a hazy reddish amber colour, nearly opaque, topped by a thin yellow/beige cap. Sticky lacing appeared on the glass for the first half of my pint. It had a thick malty aroma, lots of caramel, with citrusy and spicy hops. The flavour was quite malty as well, with lots of caramel and toasted character, plus a bit of chocolate as it warmed. Bitterness was solid and balanced thoughout, and it needed it considering the malt profile. Hop flavour was a bit herbal, lightly spicy, with some citrus. It finished with a lingering bitterness and spice, maybe a hint of alcohol. Medium to full bodied with creamy carbonation. Very smooth texture with a bit of dryness towards the end and a hint of alcohol warmth. Certainly worth trying and I hope it makes an appearance next year.
