Pours a nice nearly pitch-black with highly carbonated active head. Smell is that of coffee and high acid. Taste is equal as much with a more resounding bitterness, reminds me of Guinness with extra coffee. Mouthfeel is rather thin and alcoholic, aftertaste is simply too bitter to recommend a high drinkablility rate.

I drank this on tap into a pint glass.

The beer pours a cloudy murky orange with a very light tan head with only about a half a finger of retention and poor lacing.

The aroma is light citrus with grapefurit and orange dominating with light hops on the back end.

The taste is really bad. Its all bitter pine mixed with metal and hops. The metal also has an orange taste.

The feel is actually decent but this beer is utterly undrinkable.

Enjoyed at the Smokehouse location on tap, this beer has created a local sensation using local gourmet store's purchase of high quality coffee. Intended as a limited release for the winter, this has been kept on in the lineup. And it is mostly that. Coffee aroma, very dark with an off-white head. The coffee was well done. A bit watery in mouthfeel.

I had this on tap from Barley's. The beer is dark brown/black with a thin tan foam. The aroma is all coffee, very nicely incorporated into the beer. The taste is strong with the coffee, but didn't match the body which was light. I'd like to see more substantial malts and body to make this a must-try. Very tasty nonetheless.
