The beer pours a nice light brown color with a thick frothy tan head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is good. It has a balanced malt scent that boasts of crystal and roasted malts along with a mild yeast ester aroma. The taste is good as well. It has a smooth and slightly sweet caramel flavor with a slightly dry, roasted character. It finishes with a mild Ringwood presence. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a medium bodied beer with good carbonation. This is a well brewed brown ale that's true to style and easy drinking.

Appearance: Poured a nice clear brown with a tint of red brew with a medium head; there wasn't much carbonation through
Smell: The scent was quite faint, there was some qualities of wood, and malty ale.
Taste: While not very complex it carried the same malty flavor that the scents pronounced with a mix of slightly nutty undertones.
Mouthfeel: Was a medium-bodied light on the palate brew.
Drinkability: Easy to drink, definitely could sixer or tall boy it.
Overall: I think some added carb would do this brew justice, it was however enjoyable as a whole due to a minuscule bite.

this beer pours a clear brown color with an off white head. the aroma has a bit of a biscuit, nut note to it... nice maltiness all in all. the taste brings a nice roasted nuttiness with a lot of sweetness at the end. the medium mouthfeel with the decent co2 make it a easy drinker.

A: Poured a nice deep brown color with some hints of red thrown in. The head was a picture perfect cask pour with tiny bubbles forming a nice cover over the beer.
S: The nose was on the tight side but there was a nice clean malt note. A touch of cask earthiness as well.
T: Really nice classic take on the style. Very malt forward but not really an overwhelming beer. Hints of toffee and caramel.
M: Perfect cask mouthfeel. This beer was very fresh by the time it arrived.
D:And so continues Middle Ages outstanding cask offerings. I really have enjoyed their anniversary beers and this is no exception. A nice beer that can be sessioned. Outstanding.
