Thanks again to the Market of Choice for carrying this beer. Poured into a Sam Adams pint glass.
Appearance is a very light brown/dark orange combination
Smells like pumpkins and tons and tons of spices. Mixture of pumpkin spice, cloves, cinnamon. Not a large hop aroma if any.
Tastes like how pumpkin beers should. But compared to other pumpkin beers, I was not all that impressed. I think this beer is a little too spiced, but makes up for it with the malt presence.
This is a seasonal beer, so I'm not too sure how often I would drink this beer. I really enjoy some of Silver Moon's other beers, so nothing against the brewery itself, mainly just their choice in making this pumpkin beer.

Best enjoyed in the tap room when your glass is rimmed with caramel sauce and brown sugar.

Refilled my growler with this brew and was not disappointed. I'm normally not one for seasonal pumpkin anything but this beer is surprisingly Tasty. Pours a dark murky orange with a moderate head that disappears quickly.
The taste gives you enough pumpkin spice to remind you that's it's November without being overwhelming in the least.
Overall very happy with this beer...Feeling rather lucky to live in a state with so many exceptional brewers.

A 22 oz. bottle, a spur-of-the-moment purchase at Alberta Co-Op Grocery last week. Another 'surprise' local pumpkin ale (who knew local brewers were finally catching on?); poured to a pint glass.
'Made with real pumpkin from the Central Oregon Pumpkin Co., Terrebonne, Oregon'
A: Lightly foggy amber, a 'hazelnut shell' orange-brown. Weird carbonation, large and clinging around the glass, a few breaking loose and speeding to the top. Half-fingered pock-marked whitish head that dies quickly. Ripples of fractured lace, but ultimately kinda lifeless and tired-looking.
S: Fair spice aroma at first, fresh ground and somewhat peppery. Maltiness and pumpkin flesh/starch grow, but don't offer much. In later sniffs a steely metallic scent creeps in, winning out over the spicing. Too bad.
T: Bitter ground cinnamon stick and dusty nutmeg greet the tongue right away. About as jarringly 'earthy' and 'dirty' as I recall in a pumpkin ale (or any other ale for that matter). Definitely not your sugary version of 'pumpkin pie' spicing here. The bitterness is so dry, zesty - the end result seems more like a roasty ESB, with a baked rye bread crust. And it's kinda like chewing on a piece of bark...or a twig.
M: Rather thin feel (lighter-bodied), carbonation is muted and dull. 'Crispness' comes from a zesty spice. Still, that leaden dryness is so hard to overcome...
D: I'm a pumpkin beer fan, and though this one had some serious issues for me, I still wound up enjoying it. Reasonable strength and an interesting take on the style - it's good to know for earthy and bitter this is, because it deserves a place when pairing with food. I probably wouldn't buy again as a stand-alone beer, but as an accompaniment? Sure.

I have been searching for pumpkin beers this season and was happy to get a local
Look is a golden brown kind of a bit of red thrown in a little white head
Smell is a spice bomb way to much of a mix of old smelling cinnamon nutmeg allspice from afar it smells ok but once ou get close it mixes up the nose.
Taste is similar to smell a huge mix of spices that are used in pumpkin pie but the mix doesn't taste all that like that
Mouthfeel is a gritty tangy dry mix that stings and stays with you. A little disappointed with this it was to much spice and not enough gourd.

Bomber poured into my large Gulden Draak tulip, Twisted Gourd is a chill hazed bronze witha small off-white head that leaves foamy lace. I like the art work on the label.
Smell is pretty standard pumpkin pie all-spice, on the sweeter side.
Tasty is rather grainy, and otherwise similar to the nose, pretty standard pumpkin ale. Not overly spicy, though I'm not getting a lot of the actual gourd flavor either.
Mouthfeel is pretty light, on the drier, crisper side.
Drinkability is pretty good, a simple, strait forward pumpkin style ale, nothing really notable about it, but no real problems either, save for it being a touch to grainy. The light, dry body would make it a good food beer. The flavor though is nothing worth revisiting.
