This is my favorite restaurant in Vegas and I think my favorite beer bar anywhere. Unbelievable beer list including many draft beers and an amazing selection of bottles. This is the first place I had Deschutte's Abyss as well as numerous sours and other interesting finds.
The food as well is amazing. The main entree, the burger of course. But at this place you build your burger with a myriad of cheese choices, bacon choices (inlcuding jalapeno bacon), veggies and many other toppings.
The mandalay bay is and one end of the strip and can be a trek if you're not at that end. However, it's well worth the trip and they have good black jack and crap tables for after dinner. Say hello to my money if you win any of it back.

If you're in Vegas, I highly recommend Burger Bar. This place is incredible. Their beer list is HUGE. I had a very hard time deciding what to drink as there were so many that I wanted to try.
Besides their beers, this place is also famous for their burgers. With 50 or so different toppings to choose from, the combinations are endless. I decided to splurge and go with lobster on my burger and was not disappointed. Everything I've eaten here has been awesome.
Their waitresses are also pretty amazing. Not only are they great to look at, but they're also extremely knowledgable of the beers they serve.
Definitely check this place out. You won't regret it.

Located in Mandalay Place between the Luxor and Mandalay Bay.
Stopped in here three separate times during a trip here last week and could not have been more pleased. First of all, the selection is excellent. I had Stone 11th anniversary and the Abyss on tap for $7 a pint. Abyss was on the menu as Deshutes seasonal. There were about fifteen beers on tap including four Belgians but I was really impressed with the bottled selection that included all the Belgians, several Stone, Deschutes, Ommegang and tons of others. Just make sure to look at the red Chimay menu for bottle selection as the food menu only has a small portion of their selection.
The burgers are great especially the Kobe beef burger. Nothing too fancy, just great burgers and even better beer. Do yourself a favor and stop by this place on your next trip. There are tons of great bars in Vegas but this is the bar for the beer advocate.

Visited Burger Bar on August 6, 2009 and after reading reviews on BA, was very pleased with the beer selection. Was able to get a Stone Sublimely Self-righteous ale on tap, which was excellent. Had a great conversation with the owner who happened to have a sample 750mL of Firestone IPA in the back. He brought it out and shared it with me at no cost...great guy who knows his beer no doubt. Overall, great selection of bottled beers and decent selection of taps...all reasonably priced, especially considering this is Vegas. Also had a Fire Rock Pale Ale and Deschutes black butte porter...
Would recommend this place to any BA in the area...best beer selection I could find during my visit.

Tremendous. Especially given the craft beer offerings in Vegas. Absolutely tremendous.
On top of Sensi, Mesa Grill, In N Out, this is the other must stop every time I am in Vegas. Cant say enough.
The atmosphere is laid back and you can either sit up at the bar with the taplines or have a booth/table with individiual tvs. They know what they're doing. Friendly enough, dont rush you out, and the only negative is that for tables there is always a wait no matter what time of day or during the week. Usually can score a spot at the bar though.
The quality is fantastic- again, for Vegas strip it is second to none. They deliver a tap list and offer 6oz samples of everything and there was plenty of stuff I cant get in Jersey I could get here. They do have a beer menu with descriptions and updated which shows they take it serious.
The service is above average and the waitress was actually quite impressive this last visit at the booth and had strong recommendations. At the bar, always willing to add the extra service for food and drink even though very busy.
The selection, again, very nice and covered many bases. Had the US craft covered, Belgians, as well as plenty of each. I had some Duvel with the salmon the one visit, Stone Imperial with my burger on the other this time through. Each time, scattered several 6oz samplers to get through the tap selection. Terrific.
The food is also incredible. The prices are relatively high but worth it. Ive had the zucchini sticks, sweet potato fries (among the best Ive ever eaten), turkey burger, veggie burger, buffalo burger, salmon sandwich all with a variety of toppings which are nearly endless and given the few burgers you can still have something different every time.
A must stop - a true gem in a beer wasteland that is the Vegas striip. The only place in Vegas where Ive seen people really be into the selections (again, only talking strip) and not just pounding coronas.

I have never been to a bar/restaurant with a better beer selection. It started with 90 min on tap and went through the likes of Deus, Samiclaus, and 3 years worth of unibroue. We came to the consensus that moving into the Burger Bar on a permanent basis would actually be a good idea. I would HIGHLY recommend this establishment to anyone visiting Vegas. The only problem with Burger Bar is that it is not the best atmosphere for a date or romantic evening but is definitely a great place for a "guy party."

Was there for the UFC 100 hoopla and stumbled upon this place after the wife and kid went to see Chris Angel (who?). You heard me right. I played it off and decided to venture to Mandalay Bay and back to the Luxor where I went upstairs and found heaven! I just wish I found it earlier. Crap beers in EVERY hotel except this place.
Went in around 8:15 and found a single seat at the large bar area and promptly looked at some empty tables which would quickly fill. I was astounded by the number of taps (23?) and great beers in the coolers directly behind the bar. They had all Chimay bottles, Urthel singles!!, Rochefort 6-10, Hennepin, Westmalle, Gulden Draak, Nogne Porter, Duvel, Old Stock Ale and numerous Trappist Achel to name a few.
On tap they produced Dogfishhead 60 Minute, Bitch Creek ESB, Mirror Mirror, Franziskaner Dunkel, Haywire Hefe, Chimay Red, Delirium Tremens, Lambic Framboise, Primo, Stella Artois, Miller Lite, Bass Ale, Lost Coast Tangerine, Boddingtons, Blue Moon, Fat Tire, Newcastle, Big Daddy (Speakeasy), Grimbergen and Stone Self Righteous! AWESOME selection to satisfy any thirsty man waiting for his wife and kid to get through some fake magic act.
Three bartenders to tend to the thirsty and I started with a Stone Self Righteous and get this....it was served in a Goblet! Whoa! Now that was way suprising and the bartender even mentioned "Nice choice." Next was a Mirror Mirror which was also served in a goblet. Wife called and I had to go. :o(
Overall I had a great experience with my attendance at the Burger Bar. My only regret was not staying at Mandalay Bay or the Luxor to experience all the high quality beers this place has to offer. The bartenders were attentive even though I didn't order food (which you can at the bar) and even had a little small talk. For the UFC 100 going on and a Saturday night to boot, I had a great experience. I didn't order any food but the dudes hamburger and onion rings next to me looked awesome.
Don't make the mistake I did and wait to venture to this place on the end of your trip. Seek it out next time your in Vegas and you won't be disappointed. I know it's on my to do list next time.

Ate alone at the bar on Tues, 5/25/10 around 9:00pm.
Greeted by Julia, the bartender. She was everything you could want in a bartender starting with her friendly service and knowledge of the beer and ending with... well, let's keep this about the beer. The place was steady but not swamped, so she took time out to chat about beer a few times. I seemed to be the only BA-type there.
Looked over the taplist and was reasonably impressed. A solid lineup of 25 or so beers by most standards, exceptional for Vegas on-Strip. You can order two different full-size pours or put together a six-beer 5-oz sampler flight. I went for the latter:
-Sin City Amber (gotta try the local, even if it's not your favorite style)
-Grand Teton Bitch Creek ESB
-SN 30th Anniversary (Ken & Fritz)
-Stone IRS (2010, tapped just two days before)
-St. Louis Framboise
Ordered the "Country Natural" beef for my burger. I kept it simple with a sesame seed bun, pepper jack, and A-1, but you can build your own from a list of almost any topping you can imagine or choose from a handful of pre-defined setups.
While I was waiting, I looked at the bottle list and briefly regretted my decision to go for the taps. The bottle lineup is outstanding. I can't even begin to name them all, but a few things stand out, just because of their Vegas-like extravagance. They have FW 11, 12, and 13. You can buy 12 and 13 solo, but 11 is only available as part of a vertical of all three that requires three adults and $200. Pricey, but it would be a fun splurge if you have a group of BAs for a weekend trip. Overall though, most of the bottle prices seemed pretty reasonable for restaurant service and, once again, *very* reasonable for Vegas. Markup on singles was about 100-125% and bombers around 75-100%.
The burger arrived perfectly cooked (pink through-and-through medium). By then I'd finished the Framboise, the Sin City, and the Bitch Creek. It paired nicely with the 90-Min and both stouts. Sweet potato fries accompanied.
This is the place to go for a burger and craft on the Strip. Pour 24 (@ NY NY) doesn't have food and the Burger Brasserie (@ Paris) has crap beer (and neither the burger nor the service were as good.)

Okay, no one is going to Vegas for the beer selection. With that in mind, make your way over to Mandalay and you will be very impressed. I tried to get over there before their keg of Mirror Mirror ran out but I was a day late. The bartender saw my disappointment, gave me two tasters and could tell I was a beer guy and pulled out the black book of vintage beers. Very impressed. Almost talked me into a $30 beer.
After I enjoyed two nice drafts and paid, I noticed they even cut my first beer price in half. Talked to the manager and he knows his stuff as well and appreciates any BAs talking to him.
Wished I had didn't have big meal planned an hour later or would have tried the food as well. Worth the visit if you're on the Strip

The Burger Bar is my favorite place in Las Vegas, by a wide margin. It's so good, I went there twice in four days despite the overwhelming competition for my attention.
The location in Mandalay Place is actually the upscale mall that connects the Mandalay Bay and Luxor complexes. You could easily walk by this place and think it was just another, nondescript mall eatery.
In addition to a passion for beer, I am also a hamburger afficionado. The burgers at this place are exquisite! There is a wide selection of toppings, meat (buffalo, kobe, angus, etc.), buns, cheeses, etc. You do end up with a ~$15 burger using this approach, but the quality is so good that I think it is actually a good value. Especially in Vegas. Get the sweet potato fries. I ordered my burger medium-rare and it was perfect.
The beer selection is very good; five fine Belgians plus numerous other imports and big and/or hoppy American craft beers. Proper glassware. You can get a taster of any five of the draughts. I had probably ten different beers on my visits, and each was in excellent condition.
Service was competent and friendly.
Do not miss the Burger Bar if you are anywhere near the south end of the Las Vegas strip.
