One of my favorite Dallas-area places to get good beer. You just can't beat selection. Period. Decor is unique and gives you something to look at (walls and ceiling completely covered in various saucers). Prices are reasonable, but their confounded beer-list uses a cryptic "symbol" method to indicate price. Okay so it's not *that* confusing, but if you've had a couple beers, it might take you a minute or two to figure out just exactly how much the beer you just ordered costs ;-)
Atmosphere is good, but my only complaint is that it can get terribly loud. You would think that with such a huge selection that more emphasis would be put on "beer culture" where you could talk about the beer and carry on a conversation. Not here, at least not the times I've been...if you are in the main section you will be lucky to hear yourself think. They do have an enclosed "patio" type area that is not quite as loud, so if you are bothered by not being able to talk with your friends, as I sometimes am, you can try to find some relief in this area.
Location is decent - it's a bit of a drive for me personally, but worth it. There are several other resturants in the same area, all of which designate certain areas as "their" parking, so sometimes it can be hard to find a spot. But otherwise not a difficult place to get in and out of.
Quality seems decent, no noticeably bad beer or food. Service is generally really good. Selection, again, is a beer lovers heaven on earth. And the food is surprisingly good.
They also have a special worth mentioning. Wednesdays they have a you buy the beer, you keep the glass special, and my roommates and I have amassed a sizeable collection. For the most part they are your standard 16-oz tumblers with the logo of the brewer or beer on it, but every now and again there is a different type of glass, which makes the trip especially worth it. Plus it almost forces you to try different types of beer, which is handy when you are with people who would normally not think twice about getting a Shiner or worse, * Light (*shudder*).
Selection is the obvious draw here, so in closing, this is a great place to try beers that may otherwise not be available to you.
PS> Oh, almost forgot, they have some amusing bar-wear too - I got their shirt that says: "Flying Saucer - Won't give you the Schlitz" :-D

With so many beers to choose from, it's hard not to rate The Addison Saucer really highly. This particular Saucer location has the largest selection of any of the Saucer's stores. In order to be brief (yeah right) here are the good things about this Saucer:
-massive beer selection (hundreds of drafts and even more bottles)
-much better than average bar food
-roomy and fairly well kept/clean
-several TV's showing sporting events
-live music on the weekends
-2.50 pint night on Mondays for all drafts
-Wednesday "you keep the glass night" (buy a beer at regular price, keep the brewery glass--limit one per customer)
-$2.50 Texas beers on Sunday nights
and the bad things:
-too many beers to rotate stock quickly enough
-staff is under-educated on the beers (not un-educated, just under-educated for a serious beer bar)
-bad music IMO (It seems to be b sides of non-top 40 90's alternative bands. How I can sit there for 3 hours and not hear a single song I've heard of is uncanny)
All in all, it's the best bar that I've been to in Dallas, but it could be better. I hear they're remodeling....

I had a blast here! Looking at the menu at first...I couldn't even decide where to start. My first selection took me the longest. Anyway, very broad selection of beers on tap and bottled beers! The atmosphere was nice with sports playing on the TV's and the smoke was very tolerable as they have good ventilation. The service was very good and they seemed to have knowledge of the beer and yes they were easy on the eyes! A little loud, but is expected when that many people get together. I'll have to come back to this place! Cheers!

Possibly the best selection of beer ive ever seen in a bar. There are so many choices it is just hard to decide. The prices are very reasonable as well. Monday night is $2.50 pint night, that just cant be beat. And wednesday's you keep the glass night is great as well. The music is slightly loud but nothing too offensive. The waitstaff is great, and they really know their beers, and the women are dressed in short skirts and tight shirts, which is always a plus. I did not try the food, but I have been told it is very good. Overall I would say this is my new favorite place to go have a few pints.

This has got to be the biggest selection in any beer bar I have ever seen. 94 beers on tap + 141 bottled beers. This does not include their rotating selection of ~10 different seasonal draught beers and ~10 bottled beers.
Monday nights are $2.50 for any pint. Wednesday night is brewery night. They pick a different beer every Wednesday you get to keep the pint (or snifter, mug, etc) glass from that brewery with the beer's logo on it. Friday and Saturday nights they have a live band.
The bar can get pretty loud at times, but I have never had a hard time carrying on a conversation. They have TVs turned to whatever game is on at the time. There are 3 rooms - a cigar lounge with sofas, the main bar, and a patio area. The main room can get smoky, but not generally is not too bad. And it is certainly offset by the short skirts that all of the waitresses wear. They have sandwiches and pizza that are pretty good plus some really good free popcorn.
