Had this one on a past ticking trip to Asheville! Served from tap into a shaker. Poured a pale golden yellow with a half finger white head that subsided to a minimal amount quickly. Maintained phenomenal lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, blueberry, sugar, wheat, and Trix cereal (say what!?). The flavor was of sweet malt, blueberry, fruit, wheat, spice, and subtle sugar. It had a light feel on the palate with medium carbonation. Overall this was a fairly good brew. Before I start I have to say, TRIX CEREAL. There, I said it. Where in the Hell did this come from!? I'm not sure where they got the aroma from, but I LOVED it. Now on to the rest of the brew... The flavor on this one was pretty well balanced, but at the same time it was very light in intensity. This was a little bit of a buzzkill after smelling it. If this thing would have had Trix in the flavor, we might be looking at a new #1 beer on BA. But alas, it wasn't there. Bummer... Still a very well put together brew that I would love to have again. Pisgah is 2 for 2 on Fruit beers that I have had thus far. Can't wait to see what the future holds.

Tried this Blueberry wheat beer summer of 2012 both on tap at the brewery as well as from two growlers.
Poured, the appearance is cloudy.
Smell, the aroma is very much "fruit and wheat". Very small hop smell.
Taste is very fresh. The second growler late in the summer was not as fresh as the first growler earlier in the summer. The first growler, and on tap, is a very fresh blueberry wheat experience.
Mouthfeel was smooth, very drinkable.
Overall this can be like comparing "homemade ice cream" to store bought ice cream. Early in the summer, the freshness was oustanding, the best blueberry wheat I've ever had, but to be honest, I've only had it in bottles before, never at or from the brewery.

On tap at Barley's Taproom in Asheville
A - hazy orangish copper with a thin layer of dense, white head that has good retention
S - fresh blueberries and faint straw
T - straw, blueberries, sweet
M - medium bodied, little carbonation, smooth
This isn't fantastic but it achieves what I believe it set out to do. It was highly drinkable, very refreshing, and enjoyable. I'm not a huge fruit beer fan, but this is worth checking out.
