Pisgah Pilsner served at the brewery. Golden with a white head. Fine carbonation; leaves a surprising amount of lacing.
The aroma is somewhat subtle, although both malt and hops are evident. A little earthy
T - rich flavor with an exceptionally strong malt base, that is little enough to allow the hops make an approximately equal contribution both in the mouth and in the finish. Nice level of mild bitterness.
M - very good carbonation. Crisp, with a semi-dry finish.
O - A flavorful pils; excellent for style. Best cold.

Hands down one of the cleanest, crispest, and most well put together pilsners I have ever tasted. This gem was on tap at the tasting room the other day. Served cold and poured into a pint glass, this one was consumed on 02/23/2009.
The pour was nearly perfect with a great clear amber color, perfect carbonation and a rich head of white that came up over the top and settled there for a long while. The aroma was loaded with rich malty goodness. Nice touches of light fruit, hints of bread and a touch of light hops. The taste perfect, simply stated, it was perfect. Crisp, clean, refreshing. Heavier then most at a nice 6.5%, but the flavor full enough to carry it. Light bitter hops on the finish brought forward a nice dry fruit flavor that gave that light punch right at the end. Clean carbonation and super drinkable, this was a highlight for me. One of the most solid beers i have had in a long time.
