Pint style glass.

A very English style ale.

Poured a clear caramel light brown. A decent head with nice lacing down the glass. Scents were sweet and malty. Some caramel and nuts. The scents were muted unfortuntely even after I let the ale sit for a few minutes.

The flavors are sweet and warm. A very nice blend. Deep fruits like dates with caramel coating and strong malts are at the forefront. Some yeasty and grassy notes blend very well. The hops are present for balance but do not encourage a bite or overly bitter taste. Some honey like flavors and a nice mild alcohol are at the finish of this ale.

This ale drinks silky smooth. It is easy and caresses the palate. A wonderful seasonal to sip on a cold day. I wish I lived in a wintery climate. This ale would definately be a great choice after a day spent in the snow or skiing.
