Bought a bottle at Total Wine in DE in January of this year. Bottle date says 2010D on it. Let it sit in my basement for a few months. Pours a clear copper color with nice carbonation and nice white head. Label art and beer write up pretty cool. Had to go to Dogfish's website to learn of all the ingredients from each continent.

Smells of ginger and sugar. Has some peppery notes to it. I get some sweet notes like honey or vanilla. No real hop aroma to it. Nice bouquet of complex spicy notes.

Tastes gingery. Not overpowering, just about right - nice and low key. A little residual sugars seems apparent as are the pepper notes. Tastes rather light but because it's complex it's a real sipper to ponder and enjoy. Tastes dry with good balance of bitterness to sweetness.

Originally, I wasn't sure what to expect but I am pleasantly surprised. I can see what Sam said in his Quick Sip Clip that this would pair well with food. A very solid beer from Dogfish.
