Served on-tap at DFH Brewings & Eats in Rehoboth Beach, Del.

A: Poured a clean, clear, golden yellow color with ample carbonation building to a one-finger head of bubbly carbonation that settled quickly and left no lacing.

S: Spicy and bready, with a quick flash of floral, grassy hops and a hearth-baked cracker aroma.

T: Light, spicy and grainy malts hit the front palate, quickly imparting baked bread and crackery flavors before becoming awash with bitter, spicy, yet light and grassy Saaz hops. The finish is dry, smooth and bready with a lingering malt density and clean finish.

M: Very clean, crisp and flavorful with a drying hop effect and a bready, dense mouthfeel in the finish.

O: I'd be happy to see this as a permanent replacement as DFH's "light lager;" see ya Lawnmower Light! The 4.8% ABV is very sessionable, the bready pilsener malts and dry, spicy Saaz hops work well with the distinct DFH ale yeast. Not the most interesting option to likely grace the board, but you could do a lot worse if you're looking for a summer heat thirst quencher.
