Had this one on cask at Washington Street Ale House in Wilmington, DE. Served in a standard pint glass, 16 oz.
A - Pours a pale amber color with a half finger of white head. Shows great lacing.
S - Smells of lemon peel, earthiness, and herbal hops.
T - The citrus is big upfront accompanied by grassy hops. The finish is dry and thyme and other herbs linger on the tongue. No ABV listed, but this is definitely a session beer.
M - I enjoy the light carbonation and smooth feel to this cask ale. Light and drinkable.
O - Dogfish Head always likes to push the envelope with taste combinations. This one drinks like a good pale ale with an interesting herbal addition. Perfect balance of hops and malt with noticeable herbs on the finish and aftertaste. I was excited to see an unknown DFH beer, especially on cask. This was an experiment that worked very well and I would definitely get it again.
