LOOK: Clear orange amber, creamy dense head.

SMELL: Bready, toasted grain, faint caramel, browned apples, yeast, leafy hops.

TASTE: Smooth, creamy, fresh toasted grain, biscuity, hint of caramel, dried grass, ripe pears, dry finish.

Very drinkable, lots of back and forth from hops to malt with a dominant graininess. Great choice to serve it via nitro, tons of flavor packed into this small brew. Good starter beer for a session at the pub.

First had: nitro-tap at Dogfish Head, Rehoboth Beach, DE

Poured a coppery amber color with a creamy head that displayed decent lacing and retention. Bready aroma, yeast, grains, leafy and floral hops detectable. Taste of lightly toasted bread, grains, grass, light dried fruit, apple skin, and bitter hops, perhaps just a bit too metallic/bitter for this style. Finished off dry with a somewhat metallic aftertaste. Light body, and fairly drinkable, but not as smooth as I prefer a session ale to be, despite the nitro helping out.

Had on tap at the Brewpub. Review from notes.

A: Served in a pint glass the beer is a clear copper/amber color with a 1 finger head. Really nice head retention and lacing.

S: Some bread up front, light grassy hops, and a little bit of caramel.

T: Some more toasted bread, very faint hops, some more grass, a little bit of apple, and some caramel.

M: Light to medium bodied with a slightly creamy mouthfeel from the nitro.

O: Pretty solid, extremely drinkable, as was the goal. A great one to have inbetween some of the higher ABV offerings at the brewpub.

Was lucky enough to visit the DFH Pub on the day this happened to be released. A low ABV beer at DFH? hard to believe but I'm excited to try it out. My first nitro-tap beer (I think?) and it's definitely a great experience. This type of "delivery" fits the style perfectly, as it's the smoothness of a Guinness with 10x as much taste, and a great creamy mouthfeel. A nice mellow, session beer that is super easy to drink. Glad I got a chance to give it a try!

Reviewed from notes: thanks goes out to Matt and Wes for the taste.

Appearance: copper orange / yellow with 1 finger white head

Smell: bitter, hops, caramel, malts

Taste: smooth hop presence with mild malt backbone

Mouthfeel: mild carbonation, medium body

Overall: a nice blend between an english mild and english bitter. A great easy drinkable beer and I will be back for more. It's great living near by so you can try these one off beers. I just wish we as locals could get more then just a pint of these great brew pub exclusives.

a brewpub exclusive, served in a pint glass.

dark copper in color, with 1/4" bone-white head. leaving rings of lacing with each sip. mild biscuit aroma. taste is also very mild - bready and crisp hopping. body is thin to medium, with the soft creamy carbonation from the nitro-pour.

overall - a nice change of pace from DFH's more extreme beers.

On nitro at DFH Brewing and eats in Rehoboth Beach.

A finger of white head, lgiht brown body. Good lace.

Faint... malt? There's not much to smell.

Watery, almost. Pretty light, some barley and cereal. 'Session,' I suppose.

Creamy except for some strong prickliness. Okay, I guess.

Pretty sessionable, which I think was the intent. Otherwise, uninteresting.

Had on nitro-tap at the DFH brewpub in DE. Poured a somewhat hazy yellow-orange color with a lovely creamy head. Nice lacing. Had an aroma of yeast, grains, bread and light spices/earthiness. Taste followed the nose. Well-balanced, smooth and fairly complex for the style, but still a bit boring. Good, sessionable ale.

Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. A good choice for a nitro pour...only had a 4oz pour but this one would be good for a full pour to start a session off.
