Notes:
For our first new 12-ounce 4-packs in nearly half a decade, we replaced the classic barley foundation of beer with a mild sorghum base. The hints of molasses and pit-fruit are balanced by vibrant strawberry notes and a unique complexity that comes with the addition of a malty buckwheat honey.
We believe health-conscious beer drinkers and the millions of Americans who suffer from Celiac disease can cut back on gluten while relishing the distinction and drinkability of this very special brew.

A: Pale and clear golden color with a thin cream colored head that recedes quickly to a ring around the top.
S: I get some strawberries here, but it's a bit artificial, like those strawberry hard candies. A touch of musty grain and some sweetness from the honey. Perfume like flowery aroma as well as well as a bit of a sourness that reminds me of wine.
T: This is my first gluten free beer and I'm actually pretty impressed. Something about it tastes a bit off, but not in a way that totally turns me off. Some tart strawberries and lemons as well as some pink grapefruit flesh. Mouthfeel reminds me more of a cider than a beer, but it's a pretty tasty beer nonetheless.

Poured with a strawberry red hue added to the malty amber body. Love the color but the head was borderline nonexistent.
The scent is quite pretty with a bouquet of sweet strawberry and sorghum, as advertised.
The taste is like a strawberry wine. Almost Zinfendal like in taste there's a bit of harshness. I don't detect much in the way of buckwheat or the sorghum, just strawberry sweetness.
Overall I can appreciate the effort but perhaps strawberry is not meant to be in an ale as the sweetness overpowered the rest of the beer.

This brew pours and orange-brown color with a small head which dissipates quickly;minimal lacing and lots of carbonation.
The smell is strawberries, honey, lemongrass. It is kind of funky, damp and syrupy.
The taste is strawberries, some honey, not enough, a weird earthy, potato like flavor; I guess it is the sorghum. The high carbonation kind of gets in the way of the taste. Strawberry dominates the taste.
The mouthfeel is strong with carbonation. I can't say much else about it.
This brew is okay on a hot day, I am drinking it on a hot day right now, but there is too much carbonation and not enough hops, like most fruit beers, for me to say that I would like to have this again.
