Notes:
For our first new 12-ounce 4-packs in nearly half a decade, we replaced the classic barley foundation of beer with a mild sorghum base. The hints of molasses and pit-fruit are balanced by vibrant strawberry notes and a unique complexity that comes with the addition of a malty buckwheat honey.
We believe health-conscious beer drinkers and the millions of Americans who suffer from Celiac disease can cut back on gluten while relishing the distinction and drinkability of this very special brew.

This is my first Strawberry beer and to be honest, Im not a big fan of "fruiting the beer", but since its from Dogfish Head, it has to be somewhat good.
A: This beer pours a golden, reddish, orange color that has a similar body to it than an adjunct lager. Has no head and no lacing, but does leave some bubbles on top.
S: The aroma up front consists of sweet strawberries and some floral notes, that finishes with a hint of honey. Nothing really complex about the smell, just the strawberry and some alcohol.
T: Wow, very sweet up front with the strawberry flavor. Tart through the middle with a strong taste of floral notes, honey, and some wine type grapes. Finishes dry with a yeast type feel.
M: Sweet and tart at the same token. Not much to the body, very light but complex with the flavors. Hard for me to identify the texture of this beer with the exception of the strawberries and floral notes.
O: This is my first gluten free beer and my first taste of strawberry in a brew as well. Pretty good overall, nothing that really turns me off about the beer. A good beer for chicks, but not bad to try or indulge once in a while.

Poured with a strawberry red hue added to the malty amber body. Love the color but the head was borderline nonexistent.
The scent is quite pretty with a bouquet of sweet strawberry and sorghum, as advertised.
The taste is like a strawberry wine. Almost Zinfendal like in taste there's a bit of harshness. I don't detect much in the way of buckwheat or the sorghum, just strawberry sweetness.
Overall I can appreciate the effort but perhaps strawberry is not meant to be in an ale as the sweetness overpowered the rest of the beer.

This brew pours and orange-brown color with a small head which dissipates quickly;minimal lacing and lots of carbonation.
The smell is strawberries, honey, lemongrass. It is kind of funky, damp and syrupy.
The taste is strawberries, some honey, not enough, a weird earthy, potato like flavor; I guess it is the sorghum. The high carbonation kind of gets in the way of the taste. Strawberry dominates the taste.
The mouthfeel is strong with carbonation. I can't say much else about it.
This brew is okay on a hot day, I am drinking it on a hot day right now, but there is too much carbonation and not enough hops, like most fruit beers, for me to say that I would like to have this again.
