Notes:
For this ambitious liquid time capsule, we used ingredients and traditions plucked from Egyptian hieroglyphics.

Ta Henket is brewed with an ancient form of wheat and loaves of hearth-baked bread, and it's flavored with chamomile, dom-palm fruit and Middle Eastern herbs. To ferment this earthy ancient ale, Sam and friends traveled to Cairo, set out baited petri dishes and captured a native Egyptian saccharomyces yeast strain.

Pours a one finger white head that fades quickly leaving a trace of lace. Crystal clear light amber color. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Mild fruity nose and flavor seems like bread, honey and chamomile, no idea what doum fruit tastes like. This would be good on a hot day, its 39. $14.00 for a 750ml bottle from Tully's Beer and Wine Wells, ME.

Dogfish Head Brewery - Ta Henket - 1pt 6fl oz bottle

Look - Pours hazy golden-orange with a full fizzy head that dissipates quickly. Moderate carbonation.

Smell - Subtle fruits and bready with definite chamomile. Spice throughout.

Taste - Light and fruity, chamomile on top. Crisp and refreshing.

Mouthfeel - Rests on the palate almost like a tea. Good drinkability but a bit sweet.

Overall - Interesting brew, not really my bag but unique as hell from my perspective. Worth a shot. Tastes as advertised.
