Notes:
For this ambitious liquid time capsule, we used ingredients and traditions plucked from Egyptian hieroglyphics.
Ta Henket is brewed with an ancient form of wheat and loaves of hearth-baked bread, and it's flavored with chamomile, dom-palm fruit and Middle Eastern herbs. To ferment this earthy ancient ale, Sam and friends traveled to Cairo, set out baited petri dishes and captured a native Egyptian saccharomyces yeast strain.

The aromatic spices in this beer are likely at first to remind you of "feet." Then, bread and middle eastern cuisine. If you read the reviews no one really knew what this was supposed to taste like so I recommend trying it anyway. Pours a golden straw color and a nice thick head that doesn’t last very long. Mouthfeel is "syrupy." The more you drink the more you will notice the spices in the beer. No real hops taste in this and it has has low carbonation as well which makes it sweet in a weird way. The fruit ( whatever kind of fruit that was) is noticeable because the flavor of it seems to go very well with those spices. It’s the strangest beer I have had but I’m not sorry I bought it. The bottle is freaky cool.

Ever since the episode on Brewmasters aired a few years ago I've been wanting to try this.
Poured into a tulip a hazy golden color. Kind of a rough pour foams it up real nice. Leaves a thin white heading. Nice bubbling action.
Not too aromatic. Some bread, touch of chamomile. Almost no hop presence whatsoever.
Taste on the other hand is a whole new ball game. Slight fruit at first but quickly taken over by a nice sugary - cinnamon kick. Funky yeast gives it an extra edge. Chamomile is the star of the show always lingering in the background. All of the ingredients come into play here. Liking this alot.
Mouth is a little bit on the thicker side, not a watery feel. Lower carbonation but very refreshing. Alot like a wine, a smooth easy going brew.
A little surprised at such a low score here on BA. No it's not a hop bomb or R.I.S. but this was a delightful surprise. Well done !

Pours cloudy amber with no head at all.
Smell is biscuits, camomile and a slight fruitiness.
The taste is exactly like the smell, biscuits and camomile.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation.
Overall a very unique beer, definately not one of my favourites but worth a try. Although I'm struggling to finish the bottle.
