Limited (brewed once).

The Quartier Rouge is a reddish hued Belgian-style Tripel flavored with grains of paradise and guarana seeds. It's the brainchild of our very own Engineering & Maintenance Departments (who helped make the brew)! Unfiltered and 100% keg conditioned...very tasty!

A - dark reddish amber, nearly brown, pink-tan fringes. Small white head disappears shortly after pouring.
S - syrupy caramel malt, a few floral notes, cherry, pear. There's a slightly exotic fruit I recognize from guarana-laced sodas, but can't say I would've picked it out without the hint from the menu. (Between this and the Palo Santo, they must be on a South American kick.)
T - pretty much like it smells. Sweetness doesn't start until it's halfway down, isn't cloying at all. Not super interesting either, aside from the guarana...if anything, seems right at home. A little booze is detectable but never gets in the way.
M - moderate to heavy especially for the style. A little oily. Where it really shines is stickiness. Really clings to the tongue; finish is surprisingly dry considering the taste.
D - not really my thing but must admit it's well done. At over 9%, something this agreeable could be downright dangerous if released into production.
