This Double IPA is rich honey amber in color with aggressive hopping balancing a robust flavor profile packing 9.5% alcohol by volume. Citrus, apricot and piney aromas lead in to a malty well hopped body and the beer finishes with a dry bitter end. The body of 60 Minute IPA, the alcohol of 90 Minute IPA, and the hops of 120 Minute IPA.
Not for the faint of heart.

A tasty IPA, available only at the brewpub, and surprisingly distinct from the other IPAs that Dogfish Head has to offer. Poured a slightly hazy golden-orange with a thin head and some carbonation. American IPA hoppiness in the nose with some citrus coming through. Smooth citrus hops in the taste, a little sugary, but more of a hop bitterness overall, with some pine notes. Light-medium mouthfeel, and pleasantly drinkable.

on tap at the brewpub - review from notes
Pours a completely clouded burnt orange with some copper tones. Very thin head with almost no retention but plenty of patchy, streaky lacing left on the pint glass while drinking.
Strong malted nose with brown sugar, caramel, and honey. Light pine hoppiness towards the back end as well.
Bitter juicy hops up front with some lighter citrus flavor. Bold malt backbone with caramel, burnt sugar, and some honey sweetness. Slight boozy warmth towards the finish with tingly bitter hops and a last flair of sweetness.
Fuller medium body, decent carbonation, sticky and a bit heavy on the palate. Drinks nicely, alcohol is masked pretty well considering its 9.5%. I would have liked to see more of a hop presence and less sweetness though.
