12 ounce bottle into a snifter.

This beer looks great in the glass. It's a golden yellow with some bright highlights around the edges and has a great head, perhaps one of the best rocky saison heads I've seen from an American take on the classic Belgian style.

Smell is amazing.  Rosemary jumps out, as does the sage. The herbs lead the charge, but there's also a nice peach hoppiness that follows.  Parsley is also evident, just not too much thyme.

Speaking of which, it's time to take a sip.  The delicate way the spices, malt and hops interact is really enjoyable.  There's a ton of herbal zing thanks to the rosemary, thyme, sage and parsley in that order.  Some hoppy citrus notes compliment everything nicely - they lend some orange and lemon notes, plus some herbal earthiness as well. Finally, the bready malt is clean and crisp with some dough and mild sweetness.  Tastes great overall! 

Carb is just a touch sharp, but the medium body is great. It finishes with some refreshing sensations, a touch of lingering spices, and mild bitterness. Overall, I like this beer a lot, even more that the Stone version. A really good take on the recipe and ingredients, the spices seem to fit more and the hops make this really sing. One that I'll be happy to try again and again.

A- Light golden body slightly hazed with a bit of yeast particulate. Hge white head and a nice stream of carbonation bubbles.

A- Spiciness, ginger? Yeasty spicy aroma. Lemon funk.

T- Wow. Sage flavor, less ginger than I smelled. Very similar to the aroma. Herbal flavors. Light pale malt flavor. Finishes a bit bitter on the tongue, with a light funk, and pepper.

M- Smooth medium body. Very refreshing carbonation.

D- Not what I expected at all, better! The aroma and flavor are so complex, but incredibly refreshing. I just hope I can hunt down another bottle. This is the first beer to really excite me in a while.
