App: A dark apricot/honey color. Tons of khaki head. Nice lacing.

Nose: Citrus and white vinegar, overall, not wildly aromatic.

Taste: Burnt sugar, malty sweetness, lacking in hop bitterness until long into the aftertaste.

MF: Foamy, syrupy and smooth.

Notes: Subjectively speaking, this beer is too sweet for me, especially if marketed as an IPA. I expect more crispness and bitterness; if I wanted a strong, sweet brew, I'd buy an Arrogant Bastard for half the price.

Maybe this is unrefined? Purchased at Whole Foods in Asheville.

Pours medium gold with frothy 2-finger head. Excellent retention and lace.

Nose is a light citrus touch, with hints of grapefruit and pine. Even lighter maple touch, a bit like grape.

Mild citrus, heavier hand of maple, and more hints of grape. Lacks in hop bite, finishing with a touch of alcohol.

Not bad, but not 90 minute either.
