Poured from a bomber into a snifter

A- pours a hazy dark copper, has a alight orange tint to it as well, half finger fluffy head that dissipates down to bubbles and a white ring around the glass, spotty lacing

S- the nose gets hit with hops on the first smell, nice ripe citrus, on the second smell not as much, it transitions into a bready malty smell, the citrus makes a slight comeback with grapefruit notes, sweet caramel, slight hint of alcohol as well, the hops were surprisingly low on this

T- wow the hops really hit you on the first sip, pine and bitter citrus, grapefruit with some of the rind comes to mind, this is grassier than I remember 90 minute being, bready malt is well mixed in, the sweetness of the caramel in the smell (and something that is usually present in 90) is almost non-existant, you get some alcohol taste in the finish

M- medium body, nice balance of carbonation, slightly chewy, the hops really attack the palate, finishes dry

D- this is a solid double ipa, i can take it down fairly easily, however i think i enjoy the regular 90 minute better, i think the balance of hops and sweetness in the original made for a better beer, this by no means bad i just think for the price i'd rather go with the traditional 90
