Bomber poured to a tulip. 2011 vintage.
Pours a light copper, quite hazy. Off-white head fades quickly, but persists as a ring at the edge of the glass.
Complex aroma. Lots of toasty, bready, caramelly malt. Sweet. High hop aroma of pine, wood, and grapefruit. Alcohol is also evident in the nose.
Flavor is similar to aroma. Cold, the hops are more subdued, but on warming an intense candy-like tangerine flavor from the hops comes out. Very inviting. Medium-high bitterness nicely balances the malty sweetness.
Full, rich body with moderate carbonation. Close to cloying. Significant alcohol warmth, but expected and pleasant. Slightly astringent finish.
Quite enjoyable, but I suspect I would enjoy this one fresher.
