Enjoyed with my friend and fellow BA member BeerConnoiseur on New Year's Eve 2010 from a DFH Signature Glass. Cheers, Pat!

A - Deep, rich amber color. Thick and frothy one finger head upon pouring. The head dissapated to a creamy, thin coating on top of the beer. Good amount of carbonation rising from the laser etching on the bottom of the glass throughout the entire sampling. Sticky and copius amounts of lacing left on the side of the glass.

S - A wonderful and intoxicating smell of a quality IPA. Grapefruit, pine and hop aromas rise from the glass. A nice sweetness is also noticeable.

T - The classic DFH 90 taste but really souped up! The flavors of citrus, pine, malts and hops are perfectly mixed with a caramel-like sweetness. The hoppiness and sweetness is more pronounced than in the classic DFH 90.

M - A heavy tasting beer. The alcohol is disguised very well and the taste of hops linger long after drinking.

D - A fantastic DIPA. The DFH 90 is a favorite of mine so Squall is just more of a good thing all rolled up in a 750ml bottle. This is no way a session beer due to the heaviness but it is dangerously drinkable. The 9% ABV will sneak up on you. It was nice to have a buddy to share the bottle with.

Overall - Another great offering from Dogfish Head. Since this is a limited release-type beer, it will never become an everyday drinker. That being said, I will seek it out again when it is re-released.
