Served from 1 pint 9.6 oz bottle with a nice illustration on the front.

Appearance: Shiny golden amber with slight haze and yeast sediment and a thin off white head. More translucent than I expected.

Smell: Strong spice smell. Reminiscent of pumpkin pie and pastries. Some mild maltiness as well.

Taste: Slightly tart with definite chai spice flavor. Slight smooth milkiness from the spice. Faint fruitiness as well. Cooling crispness in the middle. Some bitterness at the end, but not drying. I guess that's the juniper. The bitterness is definitely different than hops.

Mouthfeel: Pretty smooth and medium bodied, but highly carbonated, so quite crisp and tingly.

Notes: Actually quite good. This is one of those few beers that I think would work well both as a dead of winter drink, or served cold as a crisp refresher in summer. Definitely different than your standard beer. Keep an open mind if you're going to try this.
