Notes:
Aprihop is an American IPA brewed with Pilsner and Crystal malts. It's massively hopped -- in the continuous fashion, of course! -- and the flavor is complemented by the addition of apricots.
After fermentation, the beer is dry hopped with irresponsible amounts of Amarillo hops. The beer has a hoppy aroma, with the apricots playing a supporting role.
The flavor is rich with late hop flavors, and its bitterness is tempered by just the right amount of malt sweetness and fruity undertones from the apricots.

Well, Dogfish has done it again. This time in an IPA that speaks volumes about their operation down there in Delaware.
When I first poured it at room temp into my goblet, it was a dark orangish/amber in color (like apricots no doubt but a little darker in hue). It left a nice foamy 2" of head that filled my goblet and took forever to dissipate! A good amount light pierces through my goblet letting the beautiful hues of the brew show its glory.
Upon smelling, I noticed that it smelled very clean and a bit earthy (hoppy), but mostly was overtaken by the apricots used to brew it. I also found some slight citrusy malts in there as well.
Taking the first sip, I noticed the apricots right away cuz they jumped out and punched me in the palette. However, i also tasted some slight apple in there as well, w/ some slight earthy hoppy flavors. Also, some dark roast malts came through as well that really hit at the swallow. I noticed that the longer I kept it in my mouth the more apricots came through and sweetened the beer a bit but was still bitter a bit as well.
It was really clean in feel, light in body w/ some nice carbonation and little alcohol burn. This was a nicely crafted brew that left me craving more form Dogfish!

A: Nice amber brown color with a big white fluffy soapy head. Great lace and retention. Darker than the usual IPA.
S: Fruity malt with just a faint hint of hops.
T: Plenty of sweetness and fruit with discernable apricot but this isn't an IPA. Not enough hops to even be a Pale Ale. This is a fruit beer.
M: Very sweet but tasty. Not cloying but there's that dried fruit feel.
O: Good flavor...and wait... are those hops when the beer warms up?!
