The brew is composed of 55% Wheat Malt, 45% Pilsner Malt and hopped exclusively with Ahtanum Hops. A total of 180 Blood oranges in the form of rinds, juice and pulp were added to the whirlpool, during fermentation and post fermentation.

This beer poured a dark redish orange cider color, or perhaps rust that was rather cloudy. The head was only a little collar of white.

Smells of dry pale oranges and rhubarb with a little wheat bread. There were also suggestions of oak.

Tastes of concentrated orange juice and cranberry with a dry bread dough. In the finish if fades toward a sweet wheat and a slightly ashy yeast. The dynamics are impressive, but the flavors themselves are odd to say the least.

The mouthfeel is medium bodied with lots of tiny bubbles. It’s terribly sweet and coats my mouth.

Too much orange and overall sweetness for me. I didn’t feel compelled to even finish this one. To be honest, I just didn’t understand this one at all. Must have been exceptionally off centered.
