Notes:
An unfiltered, unfettered, unprecedented brown ale aged in handmade wooden brewing vessels. The caramel and vanilla complexity unique to this beer comes from the exotic Paraguayan Palo Santo wood from which these tanks were crafted. Palo Santo means "holy tree," and its wood has been used in South American wine-making communities.

Quite dark, almost black. Some light makes it through the edges and has a nice deep dark reddish hue. Not much for head or lace.
Caramel, some roastiness, espresso like, hint of dark pitted fruit, and a nice level of woodiness with a touch of vanilla. Quite nice.
Taste is quite nice too. The roasted and woody qualities really add alot to this brew.
Nicely attenuated, medium bodied ale. Nice balance and interplay between the components of this brew.
Very drinkable for a 12% ABV brew. Alcohol is essentially masked, and the interesting depth of flavour holds the attention of my palate. Was glad to find this one, certainly recommend it, and will enjoy drinking it again someday.

Bottle Served in tulip shaped glass
Appearance: very dark, almost black, with a thin brown head, and very little lacing when tilting the glass.
Smell: sweet, vanilla, caramel,
Taste: coffee chocolaty, sweet caramel vanilla,
Mouthfeel: syrupy thick with moderate carbonation.
Overall, I would characterize this beer as a stout. It feels like a stout and it tastes like a stout, except its much sweeter. It looks, smells, feels, and tastes like a stout. This is by far the best brown ale I've ever had. I will definitely be buying this again.

First of all, this categorized itself as a "Brown Ale"...????
It is pretty much a stout in flavor, color, and smell.
BUT, it is absolutely amazing.
Color of Motor oil. Taste of roasted grain, slight chocolate, hints of wood from the barrels. Heavy, decadent.
