12 oz bottle poured into a dogfish head pint glass

Appearance... Filtered crystal clear. Nice light amber color with orange and pink hues. Pours with about a quarter to half inch of white head, which lingers around the rim. Very little visible rising carbonation in the glass.

Smells... Fruity. Moderate and pleasant hop presence in the back. Oakey or woody aroma.

Tastes... Grapefruit. Woody or oak flavor. Malty. Moderate bitterness at the finish, which lingers in the mouth for a few seconds.

Mouthfeel... Good density. Well balanced texture. Light sting on the tongue from the alcohol.

Overall, it's a very enjoyable IPA. There is plenty of hops for the folks who like their IPAs very hoppy. The most interesting and great aspect of this beer is how they've woven the other flavors into the traditional IPA style.
