Found this one @ Willow Park in Calgary...9%ABV and I've been in the hot sun all day....hmmmm

Looks awesome..clear burnt amber in color, great head and tons of lacing.

Sweet piney hop dominates. Some malt sweetness in the background..no hint of that 9% demon.

Thick, oily citrus/pine hop flide over the tongue like, well, a giant hop oil slick, coating everything in it's wake. Some roasted caramel malt tries vainly to make it's presence known. A boozy tastes does appear later on, almost making my head swim a bit. Slight twang in the aftertaste.

Certainly full bodied, although I found the initial amount of carbonation to be a bit much.

well done, nicely balanced, but definitely a one off beer given the ABV...going to let one sit in the dark recesses of my cellar for a while and try one this winter.

Appearance: It has a nice deep hazy orange color to it. It has a nice thick off-white head that dies down slowly and leaves nice lacing.

Smell: The aromas definitely give out hints of piney resins, mild citrus, floral hops, sweet toasty malts and some caramel.

Taste: Like the aromas, it has a beautiful balance of hops and malts. Piney resins, floral and citrus balanced by sweet bready/toasty malts and caramel.

Mouthfeel: It has a medium carbonation with a very nice overall balance and feel.

Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer accompanied with great flavors and aromas.
