Style | ABV
American Double / Imperial IPA |  9.00% ABV

Availability: Year-round. bottle (2903), on-tap (336), growler (31), cask (10), nitro-tap (1)

Notes:
Esquire Magazine calls our 90 Minute IPA "perhaps the best IPA in America." An imperial IPA best savored from a snifter, 90 Minute has a great malt backbone that stands up to the extreme hopping rate.

90 Minute IPA was the first beer we continuously hopped, allowing for a pungent -- but not crushing -- hop flavor.

Appearance: Dark straw/copper color with a soapy off-white head. Pretty much the same as their 60 Minute. Nice carbonation bubbles floating upwards.

Aroma: Lots of caramel malt and some bready notes with a piney hop presence. Not quite as aromatic as I expected but still smells great.

Taste: From beginning to end you get a great bitter hop bite. It's slightly spicy and piney with a dash of sweet hop flavor that impacts a real nice bitterness. Evenly matched with all those hops is a solid malt body. Caramel, bread, and some hints of roasted malt create a perfect structure for the hops to stand on. The 9% abv is so well hidden it has to be tasted to be believed. There is a slight warmth in the throat but that just adds to the enjoyment.

Mouthfeel: Damn near perfect. Medium bodied and drinkable. Very smooth with a nice level of effervescence.

Final Thoughts: If I could get DFH where I lived then this one would always be in my fridge. It would probably pair really well with most meaty dishes and works really well on it's own. Can't wait to get my hands on this one again!

look: 4.5 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4.25 | overall: 4.5

Appearance: It has a nice deep hazy orange color to it. It has a nice thick off-white head that dies down slowly and leaves nice lacing.

Smell: The aromas definitely give out hints of piney resins, mild citrus, floral hops, sweet toasty malts and some caramel.

Taste: Like the aromas, it has a beautiful balance of hops and malts. Piney resins, floral and citrus balanced by sweet bready/toasty malts and caramel.

Mouthfeel: It has a medium carbonation with a very nice overall balance and feel.

Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer accompanied with great flavors and aromas.
