Poured from bottle into tulip. 2010 vintage release.

Pours a hazy amber/gold hue with short white head that quickly vanishes leaving almost no lace. Low carbonation.

On the nose is a syrupy, grapey sweetness with hints of spice, roasted nuts, honey, and orange peel.

On the palate there is more grapey sweetness but the spice is noticeable. Kind of bitter, but not hoppy at all.

The beer is almost too light for the sweet and rich flavors. Carbonation is almost not present, but it's not flat.

Overall an very good beer that has some interesting characteristics. But this reviewer thinks it better as a history exercise than a truly drinkable beer.
