Wow, this beer really has DFH's fingerprints all over it. Oh shit. It actually does.

So how 'bout them grape peels? That would be the dominant aroma I'm getting followed closely by the honey. There's also something slightly musty that I can't place... somewhat akin to the moldy vapors emitted by the likes of a Millers Lite or Rolling Rock. Come to think of it, it kinda pours that way also.

Oh well, if I had my druthers I'd give the entire score based on Taste. For my money, I don't care if it looks like a gallon of sewage dipped out of the Erie Canal and smells like a French whore's toilettries, so long as it tastes like a million bucks...

...and it doesn't. Shoot. A watery disposition on the tongue but those grapes really come through. Not in any kind of fantabulous pawn the house and mortgage the kids sort of way, but it has the potential to grow on you. I don't cook so I have no idea what saffron is all about, but I'll assume it's that semi-exotic spice acting like a bridge between the fruit of the vine and my precious honeyed barley.

Ultimately, tastes like a session beer but that's what Mike Tyson said about Buster Douglas.
