Pours hazy orange with an inch of bubbly white head.

Citrus is dominant at first. Peach, orange, and some pine a prevalent. Resinous hoppiness, mildly sweet malt aromas.

More hoppy resin notes in taste, tropics, pineapple, juiciness, big dry bitterness. Some balance in sweetness.

Finally. This is where the maple syrup shines. Very nice body on this IPA. Gorgeous feel. Dry finish with bitterness.

Great blend of DFH IPA classics. Glad I could try this but I don't think I would spend the money again.

A: light copper, nice head sticking around.

S: Grapefruit, resin, sappy oak tree, Very interesting. A touch of earth and a nice malt backbone. Almost a plum characteristic.

T: Woah! maple on the finish, not much of a hop bit but definitely alot of hop flavor. A ton of pine! White grapefruit, Starts out juicy with a really dry finish. A bite of earthy hops on the end with a lot of orange rind and nice caramel malt surrounding all of it. I once again tasted a little light plum almost.

M: Very light. Not much carbonation to speak of. Slides down smooth!

O: Every drink is different! its malty, hoppy, spicy at times and has a wonderfully dry finish. compex and every changing. Not what i was expecting but some seriously tasty stuff. I could drink this for days. / 91

Review taken from notes end of March 2013.

1 pint 9.4 oz brown bomber like bottle Dogfish style of course. Bottle shape is really unique a lot like the brewery itself and the labeling is pure quality. As for art it's top shelf and really something that caught my eye. My favorite DFH bottle art to date! Poured this into a standard American DOgfish Head pint glass.

A - shade of light amber in color. Creamy thick head fluffs on top and stays throughout. Freaking ridiculous quality with this head. It eventually sits down to the perfect height and goes nowhere. Unbelievably creamy. One of the best looking ales I've ever experienced leaving a load of stick to the walls of this pint glass.

S - some sweet fruits up front of orange, grapefruit and lemon. Citrusy hop forward. More just down right sweet and balanced aroma. Caramel malt creeps up and the nose is left with that maple syrup they tell you it's brewed with.

T - not as hop powerful as either of its minute brothers, but they are there up front. Resinous hop notes to start that fade to a more citrusy flavor. A touch of caramel malt with the maple syrup doing a balancing act on the entire flavor. Notes go in order for me as followed:resinous hops, grapefruit, slight apricot, nice citrus, caramel malt, toffee like with a maple syrup presence toward the middle and finish.

M - damn is this thing smooth. Id say medium bodied and thick. No where near the hop bitterness of either the 60 or 90 minute ipa's, but its what I wanted from this. Smooth and thick, but the balance allow a refreshing character to the 75 minute jewel. Easily enjoyable and easy going in the feel department. An ipa anyone can enjoy. You get your hops, but you get a superb balance as well. Just a nice flow to the 75 minute ipa.

O - why is this only a rotating offering? That's the only fault I see with this ipa. The addition of maple syrup do what's intended in creating a smooth easy going ipa while still getting big unique DFH flavor across to the drinker. The balance and smoothness really go from how it sits in the glass to the last drink. I'm going on a hunt for more of this before its gone. I wish breweries would read these reviews because this needs to be in consideration for a year round spot. Put it in the same odd ball bottles, I'm not asking for a 6 pack of 12 oz bottles. I'm just asking that this particular 75 minute ipa is available more throughout the year. My favorite Dogfish ipa? Without question. My favorite Dogfish offering of any kind? It's close. A top 3 without question.

Split a bomber with Kiki into appropriate glassware

A - Frothy whipped head, slightly yellowed, thick lacing (might've poured too hard), amber colored body and slightly cloudy. Sort of a flat shade which tends to brownish, with visible rising carbonation

S - Smooth and well-rounded, w/ a slight sweetness and hoppy tang (cat pee/weed/citrus) but cut by light maple, light caramel, warm booze

T - Hop front, slightly spicy/herbal, grapefruit bitterness lingers, citrus, not as sweet as smell suggests

M - Fairly light bodied with some carbonation tingle. Lightly drying

O - Tasty offering, maple character brings something somewhat unique to this brew, although mostly as an accentuating factor for the malts. Better than 60, lacking the borderline roasty depth of 90

Went to the Bermuda in lower burrel and paid 10 bucks to drink it there. Poured into a standard pint glass.

A - A touch darker than the 60 minute and even though it's around 4-5 months old it still had a sticky 1/2 inch of lacy as hell foam.
S - Smell is mostly citrus and piney hops, mild sweetness which I assume is the maple, and a touch of gram cracker and crystal malts too.
T - Funny I didn't get much maple but it tasted like fermented maple giving it an above average drying side. Much more balanced than the 90 minute (in my opinion) with both sweet malts and hoppy dry bitterness entwined in perfect harmony. Tasty stuff.
M - Light to medium a very well hidden ABV. Has the drink ability of the 60 with more flavor and body.

Overall I don't think I could justify the price again seeing how close it was to my beloved 60 minute but at triple the cost. Worth trying once just to have a maple infused IPA.

A - pours a cloudy orange, with a fluffy two finger head. Good retention.

S - grapefruit, crisp hops, maybe some orange peel.

T - Bacon! No, not really. An interesting blend of muted front end sweetness, with some bitter hops on the finish. maybe its the maple syrup on the front. Some biscuit and a touch of alcohol presence prior to the finish. Citrus.

M - creamy. Carbonation is mild, but seems perfectly placed for this one.

O - Recommended to anyone who doesn't mind a more balanced than normal IPA that is on the creamy side..

"There are some situations when 90 is too much. There are other situations when 60 is too little. There are many situations when 75 is juuust riiight. Bottle-conditioned with pure maple syrup for complexity and dry-hopped out the bejeezum boards. Brewed in the style of an American IPA. This is a 2012E batch, with red cap. Available twice a year in 750 ml bottles.

Poured from a 750ml. bottle to a Dogfish Head Signature glass. Served north of 55º Fahrenheit.

(Appearance) Pours an explosive golden white head of a thick cream consistency. Body color is a medium hazy golden amber with orange accents. Head retention is very solid, head maintains a lumpy thickness throughout the drink. Very pleasant appearance. 4.75

(Smell) The maple sugar profile takes the upper hand, lightly accenting a clean, complex caramel sweetness, and a mellow citrusy, floral hop bouquet follows. Potency is significantly muted, even at higher temperatures. 3.5

(Taste) Pleasant syrup malt forward sessions into a moderately bitter floral, fruity hop blend with a striking herbal hop finish. Essences of biscuity malts, coffee bean and honey lightly accent the predictable IPA characters for desirable complexity. Drinkability is very high with few cloying flavors and a mildly dry finish and a hint of medium toasted grain. Flavor picks up significantly over the aroma. Hop flavor plays a minor role in this beer but the bitterness act selflessly to round out the malt profile for an enjoyable balance. 4.25

(Mouthfeel) Texture is smooth with a light syrupy slickness. Carbonation is mellow with a moderate fluffiness. Body is medium+ for the style and medium/heavy overall. Alcohol is well concealed in this IPA, overshadowed by the complexity of the malt body and hop character. 4.5

(Overall) This is much more accessible than I thought it might be, and it's wonderful that it is. Maple syrup does a great job at adding complexity and depth without generating a cloying sweetness, and the hop profile, while mild in character, dedicates a moderate bitterness to balance it all out. I also enjoyed hints of toasted grain and mellow herbal hop resin on the finish. Textures are enjoyable and the drinkability is high. There's not much to dislike in this beer, recommended for lovers of both 60 minute and 90 minute IPA, this is a wonderful balance for those stuck between choosing an American Standard IPA or a Double IPA. 4.25

Dogfish Head Brewery - 75 Minute IPA

Look - Pours a slightly hazy and bubbly copperish amber with a massive bubbly head that leaves behind sticky lacing.

Smell - Aroma is roasted malts and musty maple syrup with a faint hop profile. Poured into their own IPA glass for enhanced aroma I found this to be slightly lacking here. Not the end of the world but I tried to move on from here forgetting what I had experienced.

Taste - Roasted malts identical to the 60 Minute IPA are at the front, followed by a hint of the maple paired with a smooth blast of hops. Bravo!

Mouthfeel - Mouthfeel is only slightly sweet but evened out nicely by bitter hops. Super drinkable, sounds strange but I would say it is both sticky and dry at the same time.

Overall - I was pleasantly surprised by this brew, though I am a fan of most of Sam's creations. This brew is subtle enough for all to enjoy, hop heads could probably even get behind this one.

Pours a hazy amber color with a great frothy head that has nice retention. Aroma a little underwhelming with some pine and sweetness coming through. Flavor is a great balance of earthy hop flavor with sweetness from the malts and what I am assuming is maple. Nice creamy mouthfeel and overall found this beer very drinkable and a refreshing change of pace from some of the hop bombs which I also do love. Will drink again.

What makes me love this beer is that is is a perfect blend of 60 minute and 90 minute. The aroma is all 90 minute while the flavor profile is very very similar to 60 minute. If you have had either, you will understand and see that this beer lives up to the name and lies perfectly in between both brews. Solid, tasty stuff.

Pours a hazy honey with a two-finger head into my DFH glass. Soft notes of hops and malts. A little underwhelmed by the smell. Some of this is my fault as it was bottled a few months back, so I'll try not to be too harsh on that front.

Smooth and a bit chewy, this IPA is quite nice. Hops come across as fairly complex, with a definite citrus and floral note up front (likely from the Cascades). Hints of grapefruit and grass also poke through. Bitterness is round, and lends to a nice dry-down on the palate. Malt is sufficient enough to hold everything together, with a touch of graininess and sweetness in the middle. Honey lingers about. Medium-heavy in body.

As usual, I'm always happy to try something from the brew master from Delaware. Bring on the cheddar!

Pours a slightly hazy deep golden color with a huge off white head that leaves lots of stickies on the way down. Smells of earthy citrus and resinous pine with a solid shot of bread and caramel to back it up. The flavor follows the aroma quite well but adds a hint of tropical fruit to the mix. Light hop bitterness with lots of flavor. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet resinous mouthfeel. Nice solid old school leaning IPA, put it into 6 packs and its a winner.

75 Minute IPA by Dogfish Head Brewery, American Imperial Pale Ale, 7.5% alcohol content. 750ml bomber with a very unique man somewhat tapping a keg.

A- Pours a dark orange fluid that produces a one inch creamy off white head that leaves thick pillows of lacing on the glass.

S- Rich caramel and brown sugar and sharp grassy hops bite the nose.

T-M- Taste is composed of a 90 min and 60 min mix of malty caramel, earth and mild brown sugar. In the backbone it pushes more of a fresh cut grass and citrus bite followed by a smooth mouthfeel sticking to the tongue with astreingency.

O- Drinkable as hell if you can afford it.

A: pours a ugly murky orange-brown... like rust. nice carbonation elicits a solid 2 fingers worth of a white head that has light tan hints to it. the bubbles are tight and hold a nice lacing.

S: sweet brown sugar, orange peel citrus, subtle maple sweetness, and some nice hop character. mango and apricot are very subtle and add a nice touch of complexity

T: definitely not what I was expecting. more sweetness than anything else. sugary sweetness from some lingering maple, some citrus in there and some hop bitterness. and a decent creamy finish.

M: heavier side of medium bodied. leaves a malty sweetness on the palate with a moderate hop profile

O: meh.. glad to have "ticked" it.

From the bottle, Poured into a goblet

A - hazy brassy amber. Vigorous bubbly head recedes to a sudsy halo with some lacing.

S - Clean hoppy smell. Tangerine, lemongrass, pine. just a hint of bread beneath.

T - Citrus and forest taste dominates. The hops strike immediately but - like the 60- and 90-Minutes - a sweet bready malt tamps it down. The maple syrup is not readily apparent, but the beer as a whole is pretty sweet and tangy. Bitterness is surprisingly subdued.

M - Nice oily mouthfeel that is deceptively light. It seems to expand in your mouth.

O - I still prefer the 90-Minute, but this is definitely worth a try. It feels like a cousin to the 90, striking sweeter notes. Still, drinkable and satisfying.

Pours hazy amber with a two finger white head, with good retention and lacing. The aroma has grapefruit, pine, floral hops, and some sweet malt. The malt aroma is not very strong, but I can tell it is there.

Tastes like grapefruit, citrus zest, pine, and minimal malt. The bottle states it's a bottle conditioned India Pale Ale with maple syrup, but to be honest, I don't detect any maple syrup at all. More bitter than the 60 Minute and 90 Minute IPAs are. Still pretty tasty.

Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Smooth and easy to drink. Finishes somewhat dry, and has a somewhat bitter aftertaste. Another solid Dogfish Head beer. I only wish I could get this in Minnesota.

Bottled 2012M, which I believe is December.

Beer is golden orange in colour with a large white head. Good retention, decent lacing.

The maple syrup is noticeable in the nose, and is paired with pine and orange. Caramel malt and a bit of a woody scent.

Flavour is a bit spicy, with pine hitting me first. The maple syrup is also right there, adding a sweetness. Some citrus flavours, orange mainly, but as far as the hops go the pine is far and away the dominant flavour for me. The maple syrup has a noticeable impact but doesn't take over- quite well integrated.

Medium bodied, moderate to strong carbonation level. Spicy.

Overall, pretty good, but not what I hoped for. Granted I am not the biggest maple fan, and I do think they mixed it quite well into this beer, but the result is not that remarkable. Perhaps it is a bit faded.

Pours out with more than average head, which stays for quite a while. Clings to sides of glass. Very hazy caramel color throughout. Reminds me of autumn.

Smell is very malty. Not a lot of hop being detected. Sweet, thick malt is the overpowering sensation.

Taste is sweet and syrupy (as expected, with maple syrup being an ingredient). Lots of malt and a very subdued taste overall.

Mouthfeel is very thick and syrupy. Not a very clean finish overall. Lingers in the mouth long after sip is finished.

A: A slightly hazy amber in color. A wonderful three fingers of barely off white fluffy head. Great retention and lacing.

S: Smell is a little bit on the mild side. Pine, grapefruit, and tropical fruit.

T: Very similar to the smell and the sweet maple syrup comes into play here.

M: Medium body that is super smooth and creamy. Carbonation is on the lighter side and it fits in well with the body

O: Interesting story about how this is made, similar to their Burton Baton. This beer is quite the gem, it is just so smooth. Very rare for an IPA. No harshness at all. It is perfectly malty and hoppy. Plus, the dude on the label looks like a younger version of Eugene Levy and it made me laugh.

Any beer without a head is a sorry sight and, trust you me, Dogfish Head 75 Minute IPA is no sad sap. Its big bubbly white head deserves an Oscar for best costume design and leaves the glass looking like the inside of a cotton-candy machine. As for the beer's hazy, pineapple-flesh complexion, well, that's less spectacular but expected for a bottle-conditioned ale.

The bouquet is surprisingly captivating considering it smells only moderately full; the resins are very soft, like wet leaves or flowers, and there's not a lot of citrus character (then again I don't find either the 60 or 90 Minute to be all that citrusy or fruity). Nothing really erupts - granted this bottle isn't exactly "fresh" - and there's a 'forest-y' aura that has an old book-like mustiness.

There's absolutely zero intensity or vigor on the palate, just lengthy, delicious earthy hop notes and a pacifying toasted honeycomb biscuit maltiness. The maple syrup really plays into the leafy, resiny qualities of the hops while the fruity papaya and pineapple notes of the hops really harmonize with the syrup and malt sweetness. What reciprocity! It has a very subtle power.

This earthy beer has an ideal temperament, like a perfectly steeped tea. It also has a chewy cookie dough-like taste and texture. Relatively speaking, it is hoppier than the 60 Minute, a bit denser than the 90, and nowhere the knockout on the palate that the 120 Minute is (though I'd be curious to find what a side-by-side tasting might turn up). It is the kind of beer that can stand to breath and, going by this sample, also withstand a few months in the bottle.

For a brewery infamous for odd experiments 75 Minute IPA is far from an intriguing blend, but it may be the best beer Dogfish Head has ever put in a 750ml bottle. A good IPA is not a concept that can be easily encapsulated by numbers but hand it to whoever thought to split the difference between the 60 and 90 Minute IPAs - I would take one of these over both of those.

Poured entire bottle (1 pt 9.4oz) into a 34oz mug; cloudy bright orange-yellow with lively carbonation and a thick head from even a careful pour. For a bit, even in the huge mug there was almost equal parts head to beer. Smell is classic IPA; hoppy and floral, with a bit of sugary sweetness hiding in there somewhere. Taste is very much classic IPA. Clean and sweet up front, hoppy and bitter to finish. This one is quite tame compared to some of the hop-bombs being produced nowadays, very drinkable. The maple syrup isn't really detectable as far as I can tell, although that could be the source of some of the extra sweetness in the beginning. Mouthfeel is fuller and a bit fizzy, but clean. Big chunky lacing is left on the mug as it's drunk, a very pretty beer. Overall this is a great happy medium from DFH; it has the clean drinkability and hoppiness of the 60 minute, plus some of the body and alcohol of the 90 minute.

Slight haze to this copper and brass colored beer. Good head and residual foam. Add to that the sticky lacing. Decent bubbling.

Mild sweet aroma mixes wel with the medium hoppy citrus and pine aromas. Then add some well toasted biscuity malt aromas. Smells like an awesome IPA.

You can taste the maple syrup right away well blended the toasty, biscuity, bread crusty malts.
The bitter finish is earthy and citric malts that cleanse the palate of the sweet start. Well balanced and flavorful IPA right here.

Palate is a bit sticky, but I like it. The sweet and bitter flavors linger nicely. Good sipping and enjoyable beer I will buy again.

A - It is tangerine colored with golden highlights. My first inattentive pour yielded a half a glass of tan head. Subsequent pours were about two inches.

S - As with 60 and 90 minute, this beer has a solid malt backbone. I get some caramel characteristics along with some alcohol and spruce.

T - It has a biscuit malt taste. The finish has plenty of pine flavor. I get a little maple in the aftertaste.

M - It is full bodied for an IPA. The mouthfeel reminds me of an English ale.

O - It has been awhile since I have had a 60 or 90 minute IPA. This beer is more malty than the IPA's I have been purchasing lately. I used to love the maltier IPA's when I was a young BA. I now prefer the citrus, mid-western style of this ale. It is a good beer, but it is no longer as agreeable as it once was with my palate.
