Poured into a chalice.
A: Fizzy half finger head that quickly disappears. Deep amber-brown color with light coming through. No real lacing.
S: Candied sugars with notes of raisins. Nice spice from the Belgian yeast, with some sweet brown sugar on the back end. Nothing overpowering here.
T: Taste follows the smell, with pronounced dark fruits. Pretty easy drinking BSDA. Heat is subtle, and the the fruits and malts linger.
M: Moderate carbonation with medium body.
D/O: Good for the style, although I prefer a bit bolder flavor/aroma from these.
