Notes:
We have added natural raspberry flavor to our UFO Hefeweizen to create this beer. Consistent with the hefeweizen style, this beer is unfiltered and cloudy with a solid foamy head. UFO Raspberry has a distinctive, hazy rose color. The scent of fresh raspberries hits the nose immediately, along with a subtle bready aroma from the wheat and yeast. The body is light and the unfiltered yeast provides a soft mouthfeel. The taste of the fruit compliments the beer nicely, neither overwhelms the other. There is a faint sweetness on the palate, which finishes cleanly in a semi-dry, tart finish.

Ap - pink tinged amber. cloudy. A finger head that quickly dissipates

S- fruity. raspberry!

T- tart raspberry and wheat

M - crisp and sweet. very carbonated.

O - very refreshing but it's flat in flavor. easy to drink but not that exciting. I got bored after about a third of a 12oz glass.

On-tap at paradise by the slice
It had a nice rose color body with a 2" head that layed down quickly. The smell was of tart raspberries and some wheat. The taste was the same as the smell, nice raspberries and wheat on the back of the tongue. Mouth feel was great and a very drinkable beer.

Found at the Four Points hotel bar in Revere, MA, this brew shows a dark amber glow with yellow edges, a modest white head that dissipates quickly and leaves little sign of lacing. The aroma gives off mild tart raspberry and sweet grass. The flavor brings a sour raspberry with lemon wheat. There’s a dry citrus hop finish in this somewhat thin bodied summer brew with tiny bubbles to tickle the palate. It has a watermelon-like quality but to me this gets old fast. Not my favorite fruit beer. Could use more grainy substance to balance out the fruit tart theme, but it probably would make for a decent change up during the summer, served ice cold and refreshing.

Poured on tap at a local irish pub, the beer was served in a pint glass. It pours a hazy, cloudy, red-tinged color, almost peachy, with a thin, foamy, dense layer of filmy head that coats the top of the beer, as well as any part of the glass it touches. The aromas are heavy raspberry sweet, with a deep, dark sweet aroma, like when you are mixing raspberry Jello with the boiling water. Flavors are surprisingly well blended, with an initial toasted grain flavor that is quickly followed by a strong, but not overpowering, raspberry tangy sweet character. The aftertaste is a bit of the toasted and a bit of the tangy sweet, but light overall. The finish is a bit tart, with a slight coating left behind. Tasty brew...great on a hot day.

Not worth breaking down into a detailed review.

First no hefeweizen to speak of. Any german hefeweizen flavor was lost in a thin body and rasberry juice (tasted more like juice than fruit).

Rasberry was overpowering and sacarine.

I drank it, but it was an effort. Skip this one.

Aromas of light fresh, slightly sour, fruit. When you di deeper you get a lot of wheat and lesser minimal earthiness.
The taste begins with a nice authentic raspberry flavor, which is pleasant compared to some "fruit" beers. Crisp and clean malt flavors push through as well. The wheat really helps to improve the mouthfeel over some fruit ales in comparision. Finish is mildly sour/tart which also helps this brews overall flavor prifile.
Overall this is very drinkable, especially for the warmer months and a much better choice over the typical Blue Moon or other summer seasonal beers available on tap at your average bar. Not the greatest fruit beer in the world, but it works.

Had this on tap at Metropolitan in Baltimore. First time in a while for me for this beer I think.

A - Pinkish orange, thin white head, steady carb streams

S - Tart raspberry sweet

T - Up front and in the middle it tastes of creamy bread sweetness, raspberry is obvious but not over done. Finishes tart and bitter. Feels very well balanced in flavor.

M - Medium in body

O - This is a very good beer for what it is. If you like fruit wheats, this is one of the better brews out there for you. Perfectly balanced flavor profile, unique in color. I picture this is an excellent Summer beer. Now...if only it came in cans...

Nice looking beer with a typical cloudy hefe appearance--light orange with even a hint of pink from the raspberries. I guess some people don't like that cloudy wheat look, but I thoroughly enjoy it.
Smelled like raspberries (duh) and tasted like raspberries (duh) and too much so for my liking. Not a bad beer to have with my dinner I must say, and it was a bit more beery than some fruit beers I've had that just taste like soda, but still didn't feel like much of a beer to me. Slight wheat finish, but definitely dominated by the berries. Had a pint of it and that was more than enough--I definitely couldn't have done another one with the fruitiness.

Maybe it's really the style that I'm displeased by, not the particular beer. Pretty good as far as fruit beers go, but still didn't really do it for me.

It's hard to pull off a really good fruit beer. Most taste like Yankee Candles.

Harpoon UFO Raspberry is an exception. It's really delicious. Pours with a purple hue, smells and tastes of raspberries without being two sweet, fake or overpowering.

This is a great summer beer and goes down easy.

A-Murky dark pink in color small head. Very surprised to see this beer actually pour pink. Looks like a Cantillon Lambic. First time I saw this beer, I was nervous. The pink color makes it look really gimmicky. Don't be fooled, this one is the real deal.

S-Pretty tart raspberry, not artificial raspberry but real raspberry. I enjoy the flavor here. After seeing the color, I expected to smell some sugary-sweet artificial raspberry flavor here. I actually find some really aromatic delicious raspberry scents instead.

T-Slightly tart raspberry. Not overpowering but noticeable. Traditional hefeweizen taste kicks in after the raspberries have their go. This beer for some reason makes me so happy to drink. I love raspberries. I think this one does the taste right. It has the perfect amount of tartness.

M-Very light with good carbonation. Lively, crisp, clean. Excellent for warm weather.

D-Very, very drinkable. A great session beer for a hot summer night...or day. I love this beer. I get made fun of sometimes because of its pink hue. But man, this is an underrated beer. If you like raspberries, and you would rather taste real raspberries rather than artificial Splenda aided raspberry flavor, try this. Don't let the pink color fool you. This one is a great time!

The beer has a slight reddish hue the white head dissipated very quickly, almost like soda. The smell is of raspberry booth sweet and tart. This beer starts sweet and finishes refreshingly tart. The tart finish separates this from most typical soda beers, it makes it refreshing and nice.

Poured into a pint glass at the local 'Flying Saucer'

A: Cloudy ruby red/rose color. Good solid off white head with a thin but sticky lace.

S: Smell of fresh raspberries. Some mild spice.

T&M: Smooth and Crisp! Mild tart shot of raspberry flavor, faint spices and hops are barely noticeable.

If you like raspberry or berry flavors, this is the best I have had and I've tried many fruit flavored beers. This is the best raspberry hands down. Probably better on tap than in the bottle, but the fresher the better nonetheless.

Started my night off with a light pint of this one tonight at Barleys. Served in a pint glass, this one was consumed on 09/12/2009.

The pour was decent, nothing more though. Light amber in color, very light color with a small head of white on top. Faded quickly and left behind only a touch of side glass lace. Light fruit aroma, I was hoping for more to be honest. Lots of wheat and light grassy notes. A bit more fruit as it warms. Clean and crisp flavor reveals a decent touch of raspberry fruit flavors. Again with tons of wheat and light flavors coming in. Everything is very quick and fleating though and the overall feel was light as well. Very drinkable and very quick to go down, this one took no time at all.

Overall while not the greatest fruit beer in the world it works. Light and clean, very easy to drink. I would not mind trying it again,

A: Sparking light ruby color with a fluffy white head and no noticeable lacing.

S: Succumbed by raspberry can sum that up quick. Some wheat and malts are present but go with no avail.

T: Taste like this raspberry flavored clear sparkling water that came in a clear bottle in the late 80's. Once you get past that is not too shabby at all. Big hits of the berry throughout the whole situation, some wheat can be noticed but the main story is the bundles of sweetness found in this one.

M: Light, great carbonation, gulp factor extremely high. ABV, is this even beer?...

D: Good stuff overall, which comes exactly as advertised. I wouldn't go overboard, but it can be sessioned too easily. A sun beer, that comes recommended.

Poured from the tap into a pint glass.

The color was a cloudy pink with a foamy white head.

The smell was sweet with a very deep raspberry flavor.

The taste was strong with full raspberry flavor that did get to be a bit much at times.

I would have to be truthful and say that I did not find this first experince with Raspberry UFO as being a posistive one. I think the main reason that I may have been turned off was the aftertaste and this beer being in the wrong glass. I think a tulip glass may have improved the experience so a second review will be in order.

Had a free sample of this when my twin sister and I went to a beer tasting this past Saturday at the brewery in Boston when I was on vacation there visiting her. Served to me in a 5 oz sample glass. This beer is a cloudy pale amber/orange color with a red hue. The white head was about 1/4 inch when served. Settles fairly quickly to a nice ring lining the inside of the glass. has a nice raspberry aroma and not much else. Has a sweet, tart wheat malt flavor along with the raspberry of course. Not much hops if any at all. Has a crisp, smooth, light to medium bodied mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Very easy to drink. I really liked this. Wonder if I can find this one back home.

A small fluffy head with a raspberry colored body.

Smells nice. Lots of Raspberry with some wheat in there.

I really don't like UFO. Despite the resemblances to UFO, I do like this beer. Lots of Raspberry with some bitter wheat. The bitter wheat bite at the end is similar to UFO but works well here to off-set the sweetness of the Raspberry.

Really drinkable beer. Maybe it's just because I love Raspberry, but this is a good beer.

UFO raspberry hefe

Thin head, honey/rose body. Sparse carbonation and lacing.

Smell of tart raspberry extract. Pleasant but that's it.

Tastes fine - sour raspberry, not too sweet, not excessively artificial, but actual beer character is tough to eke out-extra mild wheat presence.

Clean and a little tart-with warmth brings more macro feel.

Have had worse. Not my thing, really but drinks OK enough.

Got a bottle of this at the Blue Pig Tavern which, while having a small selection, it was a fairly formidable one.

A: Pours a pinkish-straw yellow body with a small, white head with no retention or lacing to note.

S: Smelled solely of bittersweet raspberries which was quite enticing and very nice.

T: A very strong, raspberry taste with some metallic undertones that were hinted at in the aftertaste. Mostly all raspberry, however.

M: A little watery and thin, but still pretty good overall.

D: A fairly drinkable beer. A good taste and decent mouthfeel make drinking it very easy. Definitely an excellent summer beer overall.

Appearance- It has red/orange body. It looks more like a soda than a beer. A soda with a little off white head and some mediocre lace.

Smell- It smells very sweet and artificially flavored. Which I am not knocking but it falls back to that soda like category.

Taste- It very sweet it reminds me of some of the malternatives and ciders I have drank. It is pretty good though. I mean you can tell it is a beer though. There are some earthy tones of citrus, malt and little bitterness.

Mouthfeel- Average hefe mouthfeel medium but with a lot of carbonation.

Drinkability- It is seems like it would be a good summer day beer it is pretty refreshing or a party beer.

Alluring, cloudy pink/orange color with ruby highlights like clover honey. Slightly pink head that faded fairly quickly with little lacing. Very aromatic raspberry smell without being artificial. Sweet and tart flavors of raspberry and some wheat. High carbonation and a watery mouthfeel. Summery yes, but a little weak for my preference. Long tart finish but it left me with a weird aftertaste. More of a fruit beer than a Hefeweizen.

I had this on tap at the brewery. It was tough to finish two ounces, it's overwhelmingly sweet and tastes like a wine cooler more than a beer. The majority of our group wasn't impressed with this beer. I certainly won't buy it and would suggest numerous other 'fruit' beers ahead of this one.

A: The beer is hazy yellowish-rosé in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high thin off white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and a ring of bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of raspberry juice and wheat are present in the nose.
T: The taste is similar to the smell and has slight hints of sweetness.
M: It feels light-bodied (but not watery) on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very easy to drink and the raspberry aromas and flavors help to spice up hat would be a pedestrian American Pale Wheat Ale.

Enjoy By 05/15/13

A: Pours a hazy amber color with a quickly fizzling head that lasts about 2 seconds

S: Plenty of sweet raspberry with some yeast character and light maltiness

T: Again, lots of sweet (almost artificial) raspberry with wheat and yeast undertones. Not much else

M: Light-medium bodied with high carbonation

O: Almost like wheaty, yeasty raspberry soda. Not much like beer at all. Not bad though. Easy enough to drink, but leaves this one for the girls who enjoy sweet fruity malt beverages

A: Pours a glowing golden orange to ruby red in color with moderate amounts of visible carbonation near the surface. The beer has a one finger tall bright white head that reduces rather quickly to a large patch of thin film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Light to moderate aromas of wheat and raspberry (not too artificial but not quite natural raspberries either - kind of smells like a syrup, slightly too sweet raspberry).

T: Like the smell, the taste of this beer features both the raspberries (slightly too sweet and lacking the natural tartness in my opinion) with the wheat. There is also a light lemon citrus flavor in the finish.

M: On the lighter side of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly dry finish.

O: Not bad but nothing really special, it is just raspberry flavoring added to regular UFO - I really wish they had added some real raspberry into the process for brewing these so that some of the wonderful tartness of raspberries would come through. Easy to drink and a decent hot weather beer, just not something I would go out of my way to get again.
