Bottle shared at GRG1313’s tasting.
Bottled 7/2008.
Pours a murky orange with a foamy khaki head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is malt, caramel, toffee, and yeast aromas. Taste is much the same with caramel and yeast flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.

Version with a bit lower alcohol: 10.5%. Cork popped up vigorously. Bright golden color with lots of head with long retention and leaving marks. Bubbles keep going up for a long time.
Nice citric aroma, not sour (better than DeuS) towards oranges, also malt, champagne, yeast and vanilla.
Similarly, sweet flavor of overripe oranges, pineapples and apples, malt and honey. Some booze, warming, not aggressive.
Medium body with good carbonation. Champagne like sensation.
Classy beer, reminded me of Belgian strong ales. I would have liked less sweet (I also found DeuS overly sweet as it warmed up). Sincerely, it is not much behind DeuS, and luckily (or evolution) this one was even more rounded up. Nevertheless, this is not my preferred style, I couldn’t help to compared them to apple ciders, which I am not fond of (and sometimes I liked to be polemic). But this is perfect for desserts (a bit expensive for this reason in my opinion, unless you dig sugar highs). Suggestion, drink it close to expiration date, it worked well for me.

2006 stamped on the cork.
Cork pops! Some foam slowly starts to creep out. High carbonation. Pours a dark honey colour, carbonation steams, with a large off-white head. Aroma is a tad funky, bready, with some fruit notes. Taste is fruity, with a hint of musk and apple skins. No lacking in carbonation on this one. It's definitely effervescent. But, there's some creaminess and body there too.
Only my second Biere de Champange, but this is by far the better of the two.

750ml bottle served in a Thumbler.
A: Beautiful bottle art. Corked dark green glass bottle. White label. Makes a big champagne pop when opened. Pours a deep orange color. Bit cloudy. Forms a huge creamy yellow head which leaves a lot of chunks of foam and lacings in the glass
S: Great sweet fruity and yeasty smell. White grapes, pears, strong notes of oak, champagne and Belgian yeasts. Toffee and caramel. Light alcohol in the end
T: Pretty much like the nose. Caramel malts. Sweet upfront but not overwhelming. Slightly bitter end
M: Heavy molasses body. Strong fizzy live carbonation. Yeasty and woody aftertaste
O: Great drinkability. One of the best Brazilian beers I've ever had

This bottle did not pop. Temperature just below room temperature. Lager yeast, a hoppy lager with significant yeast. Big lace on yellow head. Carbonation right there.Bit of an acidic finish. Interesting but unexceptional.Courtesy of Ralph who shared.
