Pale copper and clear, with one finger head that settles to a decent, even layer atop the drink. Laces like a grandma from Bruges. Somewhat piney but mostly citrus and floral in aroma. Malt is a little spicy. Thought it might have some rye in there, but the aroma is too "clear" to have rye in it. Malt and hops are neck and neck, balancing each other out. Pale, dry malt hits the tongue and takes hold with bitter hop reinforcements following soon after. Very grassy hop flavor yields to a nectary, almost sweet hop oil. Bitterness is serious and stays a while. Balanced feel with a dry finish.
I like that this beer takes the American 2 row and runs with it. Recently, I've had double IPAs that have a very orangeish flavor to it. But this one is lighter in flavor with a good body to back it up. Seems more traditional, even though the DIPA style hasn't been around too long.

The hop juice by left coast is decent. Typical of most DIPAs where the hops are counter balanced by sweet malt. The beer poured a copper semi hazy color with white head that Did not lace. The scent was subtle hops with sweet biscuity backdrop. The taste is a decent balance between, my guess semcoe hops, and sweet malt. The mouthfeel is full body with decent carbonation. Overall it was good and I'm glad to have tried it.
