Bottle purchased from my local liquor chain. Never seen or heard of this before. Brewed with Saaz Hops, licorice, orange peel and sparkling clear mountain goat. Wait, water.

Pours a clear yellow with a big white head that fades to a ring around the edges pretty quickly. Not much of a nose to speak of. A bit lemony, a bit lagery. Not much of anything.

Taste breaks down about the same. Hints of citrus and some floral notes and plenty of that mountain water. Watery is the predominant feeling I'm getting here. Feeling a little ripped off. Slight sourness in the finish along with a hint of chalky yeast and something that might be a vegetable. Maybe a hint of that licorice. Served alongside a nice wedge of onion tart straight from the oven and a green salad. The best thing I can say about it is today at least it had good company.

Wow.

Served from a medium brown 33cl snub bottle - ugly yellow bottle art and sloppy application of label - into a chalice. Orangey hazey blond, Half-inch white head that disappears almost immediately. Not a beautiful beer to look at without the head.

Smell - Very subtle malt, banana and slight citrus. Pleasant aroma, light, subtle and sweet.

Taste - Lots of malt and banana. Less citrus, like a sweet tangerine. Maybe strawberry. Slightest hint of wheat and yeast in the aftertaste.

Mouth - Some carbonation on the tongue and on the swallow. Lingering feel of that soft sweetness. Sticks to the tongue long after swallowing. Pleasant aftertaste so this is not a problem.

Overall - I weigh my overall rating heavily on taste, so I'm going to say 4.5. A memorable beer that I will definitely choose again if given the chance.

Poured from a 75cl bottle into a chalice.

A - Very pale golden colour with a good couple of fingers of head. Lots of carbonation bubbles dancing around as well.

S - Pleasant fresh malty aroma with a touch of sweet fruit - primarily creamy banana with hints of strawberry. There's also a sharper, slightly astringent/citric note.

T - First taste.. it's a cracker! So firstly there's a strong sensation of creaminess coupled with a huge peachy/banana hit. It dances on the borderline of being sour but fortunately doesn't go over the edge. Plenty of sugary flavours present with some sweet orange and perhaps kiwi or passion-fruit mixed in as well.

M - The high carbonation levels aren't really noticeable, although there is just a touch of tanginess. There's a nice bit of play between the sour and sweetness of this beer too.

O - Quite a good beer with some delightful flavours. Perhaps not an everyday drop but this is definitely worth trying and presents an intriguing and well-made example of the style.

A: Clear, light straw colored, with noticeable bubbles after a quick pour.

S: Not very strong in smell. Nothing really striking.

T: Taste is very mild as well. A little citrusy, a little floral. Skunky finish. All around subtle but interesting.

M: Thin in body, average carbonation.

D: Very light and highly drinkable. That said, not interesting enough to merit drinking this again.

Poured into a pilsner glass. It's got a classic appearance - a light flaxen color, quite clear, with a generous dense head of pure white bubbles.

The smell is dominated by cooked corn, unfortunately. There is some herbal hoppiness, but it's lost in the off aromas.

The taste is okay, without the flavors that go with a cooked corn aroma dominating too much. There is some mineral taste in the finish, as in carbonated water. It's quite sweet, without much hop presence or bitterness.

The mouthfeel is average. The drinkability is fine, except for the aforementioned aroma.

This poured a clear light gold with white head. It smelled like wild yeast and sweet yeast and some mulled spices. It tasted very metallic, but more like nickel than the typical copper hops, along with lots of wild yeast and some sweet yeast and mulled spices. It was watery with some carbonation, and had a crisp aftertaste. Overall this isn't typically my style of beer, but I must have really been in the mood for it the night I reviewed it because I really liked it. It was very delicate and had a much more intricate flavor than indicated by my tasting notes. (I didn't have a notepad with me at the time, so this review is from memory.) It's not champagne, but it's a nice pale bubbly alcoholic beverage from France.

Golden color, thin perlage, white and abundant creamy head, longstanding.
Fresh and light smell, floral, with white and yellow flowers, camomile, and some spicy notes (pepper, orange peel).
At the taste is honeyed and quite sweet, but there are again the floral notes of the smell. And even the peppery and spicy notes. Orange peel and light citrussy.
After all, not too sweet like the first impression. Fresh, clean, light.
Very light in body.
In the aftertaste, a pleasant sweetness, with flowers and spices.
Surely, pleasant.
